On reporting potential erotic role-play

Is it possible to report potential erotic role-players so that Blizzard’s automatic moderation bot can sift through their chat history and punish them for inappropriate language? All of these lewd roleplayers in Stormwind City make me want to leave this server as quickly as I joined it.

“Accepts romance: Yes” =/= ERPer. But I doubt you can just report people for that.

To be fair, I’ve seen a lot of trial accounts around Stormwind recently. And while in some very, very rare cases a trial account might be somebody who can’t afford a subscription, 99% of the time it’s somebody using a different account so they can’t associate the ERP on that trial with their main.

One of them even had that in the OOC info and was sat opposite me and a friend while we were RPing and it’s just disappointing to see Goldshire leaking.

Oh and shoutouts to the child RPers who’ve been around Stormwind as of late. And by “shoutouts”, I mean I hope they lose access to the internet until they learn not to be repulsive human beings.

I realise I forgot to answer the topic.

TRP has a report option that allows you to report the profile, which, while not likely a perfect system, I believe has worked in the past when I’ve used it, or at the very least my report has been acknowledged by a GM, even if the response given was a little bit vague, which is kind of to be expected when it’s reports dealing with other players.

(The guy was in-game pretty much saying someone is an ERPer for having romance = yes in their flag and then went on a rant about how everybody must ERP). It was… something.

Welp. Time to go to RP jail, it would appear that by having used TRP in the way the developer intended it to be used, I may have inadvertedly become an ERPer.

Seriously though, that alone doesn’t count. You know an ERP profile when you see one; gratuitous descriptions of erogenous zones in the about tab and glances, trial accounts or level 48 character trials because the person doing it knows they’re not exactly casting themselves in a good light, and honestly just common sense should tell you which is which between a normal AD RPer and a Goldshirian individual.

After having seen plenty of people with explicit nudity displayed in their commissioned art to seeing people flirting out in the open only to “bring it back to my place?”, rest assured there is erotic role-play on this realm and it’s rampant. Also, was I wrong? Why would one openly seek out to role-play a romantic relationship in a game rated for twelve year olds and over?

You can report the first things, yes, but when you only spoke about everybody must ERP and that someone who had no indication in their flag to ERPing but had romance = yes in it must be an ERPer… Well. It was dumb. If you’d mentioned anything related at all to imagery or erotic flags then sure, it would’v been legit. But you really didn’t and just ranted about everybody ERPing, WoW RP being the worst and then some guy’s flag with romance = yes should be investigated.

Romance is not inherently sexual, nor is it something which should be frowned upon. Characters can be in relationships, either as bfs/gfs or married, and that does not mean that either player involves themselves with ERP.

I think you’re a little too sceptical here, honestly.

You’re misrepresenting what I said in a conversation that lasted for close to half an hour.

Okay.

Got the convo open and you didn’t mention erotic art nor anything related : ') You just said WoW RP is the worst, everybody ERPs and that romance = must ERP so can we report them and have them investigated.

I know Vaxir isn’t the most trusted person on the forums. It’s their word against yours, and while I personally believe them over you, currently, I understand that others might not.

But your rebuttal to my point being just “okay” is frankly rude, dismissive, and proof enough to me that you’re the sort of person that just goes looking for trouble.

So yes. Report people who have NSFW art pieces and character descriptions. Absolutely. But if you’re gonna assume that everyone with romance ticked to yes is an ERPer and a disgusting person, then frankly you can leave just as quickly as you arrived because those sorts of accusatory remarks are stress and drama that this server does not need.

Also, why the hidden activity and hidden alt checker, hm? Have you got something of your own to hide? Is that why you think that the slightest possible hint of character romance is a gateway to some inevitable garrison RP?

You also conveniently gloss over the male character represented by a female character model with a description in their his profile that goes into detail about how effeminate and pretty his character in, and how well-trained his “legs” are, on top of having his profile accept romance role-play.

Okay.

I dunno man. I read the flag and it wasn’t sexual.

Gotta love when you barely have to say anything and the other person elects to shoot themselves in the foot.

This guy’s either delusional, or someone looking to stir the pot. Nothing new here, let’s go on with our days.

Getting your rocks off in an online video game where the players are most likely to be minors is okay in your book then.

I’d recommend reporting through a ticket and describing the problem as clearly as possible.

GMs can and are meant to actually check out the TRP and then base their verdict on that, if they tell you otherwise ask for a superior or whatev to handle it because it’s definitely a thing.

That aside, Stormwind definitely has an only-slightly-hidden ERP infestation but to start saying all romance is ERP in the making is a bit wacky

And actually reading those logs now, people in there saying 99.99% of ERP is in goldshire are delusional, and the guy he was talking about was almost certainly an ERPer kek
