I submit “skin hungry” as a contender. Media in my neck of the woods attempted to coin the term last year, with it referring to the lack of physical intimacy being distressing to a lot of young people due to lockdowns.
It didn’t take off.
I’ve experienced something similar with Magister’s Terrace. Was either an event or just farming the Silvermoon rep to get my blood elven heritage armor. Cannot remember now.

Oh absolutly, in that case it was the point! I love writing romances, but only with people I really trust, not the everyday meet in Stormwind; so “No, I’m widowed and if I break my mourning it will be for a draenei male” was a good way to step out of it.
That one is ouch. (as in, tragedy, I’m looking sadly.)
I have one who started like that, except the ex is played by a friend, so we’ve been having a year long plot to repair what centuries and circumstances broke. Very tragic, one of my favorites to write. (Not exactly an answer to you, more an excuse to talk about my characters because I love that pair)
