Every expansion, there is a wave of people threatening to unsubscribe. That’s nothing new; it’s been happening since the release of TBC.
I was responding to you because you said Blizzard would not agree with people taking breaks from the game.
Their design choices in WoW since BFA ended are proof that Blizzard really wants you to take a break from the game sometimes.
That was basically the whole point of the Dragonflight expansion.
They even said that if players want to take a break, that’s fine.
Honestly, this is why I stopped caring for gear. You gear at pace you find enjoyable, or have time for… then it goes worthles right after. Don’t worry though, if you idn’t keep up, your ilvl will be heavily boosted for no effort when the patch hits.
Yep. Gear is mostly cosmetic for me now. The rush to gear up doesn’t feel worth it at all anymore.

Best way to see it, gear is a tool to do things you wanna do, or as you say it’s cosmetic. If you wanna do more challenging things you might persue better gear, but simply playing to make ilvl go up will leave you miserable.
Hmm. if that’s what you want to believe.
