One Evil vs. the Other

I don’t think anyone here is saying that the action to boot someone who was behind some very dodgy and disgusting RP was a wrong thing.

Thats pretty much the point, if someone does something reprehencable as this then if by ones logic of name and shame action must be taken, then it must be taken.

If this is how I am to understand this tactic, then it must be applied to all parties guilty of any kind of reprihencable behaviour not just one.

But I can already see that this rule and exception system is showing its ugly face, when people can say something being taken “out of context” is fine, but they’d still exempt it, im sure it will only get worse before it gets better, frankly, ill be more likley to be present when this thing finally reveals its ugly self for what it is, a sham.

If a system like this, can be taken for granted, and people can say “that guy was fine because this was why” then you’re failing to make a system that even works, because you can exempt people from behaviours they should be condemned for.

Hey, can you write

I believe we had 22 online last night in terms of the Rotgarde @8pm

No, I would prefer it to be gone all together - though tackling public ERP is a good start and is also something I hope most people agree on (like you and I, right?)

I’m not sure what part is ironic

I don’t kick my guildies for making gross jokes, no - I am not Disney and a lot of them are absolute edgemasters

I am really truly only interested in policing in-game ERP - that is my hill to die on

I don’t personally break any forum rules and have a spotless record (for the last while, at least - I used to be kind of a wise guy…)

I’m not a King but also I don’t care about any of that. If you have logs of someone ERPing in my guilds I would be happy to look over them and kick the culprits

Hey, you got a reply out of me - you should be happy. I have actually been wanting to launch a video game but I’ve sat here politely waiting for you since I saw the [replying…] pop-up. You’re really slow so I hope the next one is faster because honestly my attention span is not so great

I like that you’re calling it a commune, I have always envisioned my guilds as a cult and I’m glad to speak with someone who finally gets it

I’m not sure you’ve really read your own screenshot. I like the part where I’m referenced particularly

Yeah I removed the link because it wasn’t very funny and in bad taste - I don’t want to hear about people’s history dissertations if they’re about something gross

You are my greatest ally, Reznick…

Speaking of goons. What are your comments adding to the argument in question right now? You are simply trolling without adding anything else.

What is there to Add, this thread was a Dumpster fire as soon as it was born.

This topic prooves exactly why the community will always be divided on the matter, you can never have a 100% community agreeance on the matter of name and shame because there are many of us who think the entire concept is utterly vile.

The loud voices of one party does not quiet the thousands of voices on the other, part of the reason I even get evidence like this is from people who dislike someone but cannot say it to their face while showing what kind of person they really are.

Because of course they’re afraid of consequences, hell its the reason I chose to post on this character knowing that I will have less chance of being hurt if its a character no one can harrass me on.

So I dont care if this characters name is dragged into the mud anymore than the name and shamers care that their accounts could be banned. Because it is also a blade that as I said in the beginning, cuts, two, ways.

There is no exceptions to that.

I would like to ask you something related to yesterday, Perroy. You critized that the Gearfist IC had purchased the land of the Workshop from Gallywix. A very valid point since he is a prominent lore character, yet during Ogrepowered, Rotgarde ICly told the attendess that “The Warchief requests you to attend the Darkshore campaign”. Basically claiming to be the mouthpiece of Sylvanas, a Lore character even more prominent than Gallywix.

Just post on your ERP main please

The warchief requesting something of you makes you a mouthpiece. Excellent reasoning.

I dare say the majority of the readers don’t take the whole discussion any seriously and are here just for entertainment.

Who said the Warchief requested anything, when did I have to accept it from someone elses deluded grandeur of power?

Also, the jokes on you Morsteth, I havent erped in nearly a year.

The Warchief asked me to tell you to reroll your character as an undead and join the Rotgarde

This was a very heavily populated RP Campaign. The Darkshore campaign was happening during the same time and this actions was seeing by people as the Rotgarde trying to leech people by pressing that the WARCHIEF requested them to join the efforts.

That’s Soggoth and also simply a storypiece that doesn’t hinder anyone’s roleplay/people aren’t killed for being traitors for not showing up to the event whereas the Gallywix stuff = RP THE WAY WE WANT HERE OR WE CAN LEGALLY KILL YOU WITH OUR 15 MECH-IN-A-BOXES.

So your saying you have a right to kill other people for not showing up, thats pretty pretentious, people never concented to it so you dont have that power.

Do you have a screenshot of this? Because that isn’t something that was organised by the officers of my guild / as far as I’m aware didn’t happen. We went directly from Orgrimmar to Darkshore / the campaign wasn’t even meant to have been that widely advertised (since it was ostensibly just reinforcements / grabbing Azerite)

The Soggoth campaign was initiated by some irrelevant NPC I made up who died instantly and Sylvanas is probably not really invested in it specifically

Alright then mook. Common man can’t reply how they want.

Oh man. That’s deep bro. But, shouldn’t you show some evidence of thing X that has happened?

Nah. They ain’t fraid of consequences. They accept it like every other person does at the moment.

Banned for what? Having nice argument? Tbh, that is pretty bold statement to say that majority would get banned for no reason.

Yea, I too get orders from Sylvanas and speak for her. She is busy warchief and can’t just come to say to your face “Hey. You must go here cause I say so, ok?” Ya mook

No instead I said exactly the opposite.
