One of the best guild players got banned for WC3 refund

What do you mean the internet is full of it lol?

The internet is full of people getting their acc on forums banned. That’s super bad of blizzard. Everyone is hating on them for it.

What you are talking about is something entirely diffrent. You are saying he got banned on his WoW-acc for something he wrote on WC3 forum.

Off-topic: the earth IS flat. Haven’t you read Terry Pratchett?

No, he said the bans are being issued on battle.net accounts, which may include their WoW accounts.

He’s battle net got banned because he refunded through paypal + putting how to refund on forum.
Are you stupid or what? Blizzard isn’t refunding some of people, he was one of them so he refunded through Paypal, that’s the reason of ban. Refunding through paypal + guide on forum.
It’s not the first time I see this. Same things were happening in Lineage2 classic, when they opened completely different game from what was promised, everyone who refunded through bank or paypal got banned.
If you will refund through paypal on steam, your steam will be banned too, it’s scam prevention tool. But he didn’t want to get scammed because https://imgur.com/a/B9cIGEN so he refunded through Paypal.

Direct quote from TS first post: “Btw it’s classic discussion because people are getting banned and guilds are losing their players because of WC3 refunds.”

I’m not arguing with anything else except that there’s no proof of wc3 forum posts affecting ingame wow-accounts.

I’m equally upset about the forum bann. It’s still really bad… Just not armageddon bad.

Want proof? Go buy WC3 reforged with paypal, then make a refund ticket, they will tell you “No, we won’t refund you”, then go make a post on forum how to refund and then refund through paypal.
Enjoy your ban

I agree with you, clearly it’s not a classic/gameplay issue it’s being dragged here in an off-topic discussion. Still fun to read though.

How is Nahaj the bad guy here for wanting a source for the claims beeing made?

If people want to be taken seriously, no matter if its about bans, classes or systems beeing broken, they can atleast make an effort. Otherwise its apperent that the matter isnt important to them at all, they just want to yell and shout.

Because he denies all the proof. The only way for him to get legit proof is to try it himself.

How not? My guild just lost classic player who was one of the best players in our guild, the guy who invested most of the time, raided since first raid, first to have 2nd level 60 character and now we lost him. It does affect classic.

Because it’s unrelated to admins on the classic wow site. It’s like complaining that I can’t play classic wow anymore because they cut off my internet for not paying the bills, sorta related because i can’t play wow, but not something that can be solved or is relevant here.

All players when they get banned gets a mail from blizzard stating how long they’ve been banned, on what games and a really vague reason why.

All that needs to be proved, is a printscreen of that mail, and the comunity will rally up behind him.

Why argue us this much instead of just showing it? We could help.

I have little hope that by putting this fcked up situation on the forum will make forum admins complain to their managers what to do with this topic, it’s kinda related, kinda not. If they will want to shut me up, they will have to ban me here, or to unban my guildie.

We’re asking guildie for more proof. To be honest I’m a little bit doubting that too now

Yeah, yeah, we figured. Always fun to throw oil on the fire so you got my vote.

Haha I see what u did there

What did he expect doing that? Pretty much every gaming company does that, steam also does it if you pull out in any other way than through their own refund policy. No company accepts people abusing paypal/cc refunds to get free previews of their games.

But not every gaming company says “No” to refund when laws are on the customer side. Especially with those reviews…

What laws? EU law specifically makes exceptions for digital online content. Did he download the game before trying to refund it? How much did he play?

All of your questions are irrelevant because there’s 14 days refund period.

No.

The 14-day cooling off period does not apply to all purchases . Some of the exemptions are:

  • sealed audio, video or computer software, such as DVDs, which you have unsealed upon receipt
  • online digital content, if you have already started downloading or streaming it and you agreed that you would lose your right of withdrawal by starting the performance
