I’ve tried with my guild yesterday this achievement. We failed the first try but we couldn’t find a way to reset the raid to do it again.
We tried everything, from changing difficulty from normal to heroic, from 10 to 25, changing lead, regrouping.
None of this could reset that part of the raid to have a second go.
Comments on wowhead and similar are inconsistent regarding the reset, does anyone know how to do it in the current patch?
If i remember, last time i helped a group, there was a bug.
I found some nice comments in wowhead tho:
Everything you need to know about this achievement.
You must not be shapeshifted
You must not be in bear/cat/wolf form
You must not have any companions/pets/minions/elementals out
You must not have any gear equipped that causes anything to spawn
It doesn’t matter how long you take to get to the seeds.
It takes 3 seconds to activate the seeds so I suggest you call out on mumble/vent when to do it, wait until a cast is finished then all click it at the same time .
If one person gets hit it fails the achieve.
Everyone must click at the same time (within 3 seconds of each other) if you don’t it stops anyone else from clicking.
If one person doesn’t click it fails the achieve.
Also:
if the druid of the flame before Staghelm is not killed (and Staghelm not dead, of course), the instance can be soft reset for infinite attempt.
Did you kill anything? I remember it was buggy, even tho we didn’t kill anything ,the orbs never appeared again. We had to
Wait for next reset.
no we killed a few boss before getting to the bridge and that’s it.
we failed around half of the way to the orbs, and we followed everything, no pet no item nothing. likely one of us clicked late and that’s it.
but there was no way to reset the istance and have the orbs spawn again, the achievement was marked as failed as soon as we entered the raid
I’ve managed to reset it 2 times when we failed it by mistake 3 weeks ago, just go out of raid and right click “Reset All Instances” or change raid difficulty there and back, that should do the trick also.
There used to be a trick you could use to reset the boss 100% of the time, but I can’t remember what it was. Something to do with switching difficulties outside the instance. Actually, might’ve used the 10 - 25 man settings as well. You should play around with those.
