Is there really any need for there to be a 6-hour lockout on raid buff timers? There physically arent enough hours in the week for every guild on a busy server to get a raid buff, forcing people to either ninja drop it or co-operate on a massive scale, I play on one of the least populated servers and there are easily 20+ guilds and communities running MC at the moment.
We’re on our 16th MC this week and have got the buff once because its always locked out. Please patch this out it is a pointless game mechanic that may have worked on a 1500 pop server with 2-3 serious raid guilds but does not work in Classic, it unfairly punishes people who raid at ‘peak’ times due to Real life commitments etc.
Get a horde priest to mindcontrol the questguy and kill it 5 min respawn and you can get the buff again. Guilds that rly care about getting the buff do this
they try, i buble
The smart answer would be i kill the priest. But i guess you arent good enough for that. Also you cant bubble the npc
i am heal, i use my blue bar not for yellow numbers, i use it for green numbers
We got 2/3rd through Naxx without using Onyxia/BWL/rend buffs in any systematic way. I’m sure you can deal with it…
i was always late for buffs, so i can
you get the buff
random rogue appear out of no where & kills you
you lose the buff
Who the f**k runs alone to the raid???
Yes because it was never intended to be something you HAD to take but more like a “feelsgood” bonus that you didn’t have to depend on - kinda like flasks, but to a bigger extent.
Just because the “hardcore meta” mandates wbuffs flasks etc. for every content doesn’t mean the game has to adapt to the meta - if anything, it should be the other way around.
But hey, Blizz devs fixed all this in TBC by removing most wbuffs (except those giving xp/rep bonuses, and little else) and reducing the number of stackable consumables and the cost/power of flasks. You might want to try that if wbuffs bother you that much (I know I will, also because I do hate wbuffs)
I used to.
I do, what’s the problem with it?
I think he’s referencing pvp servers. It’s a whole different ball game. In my guild and most guilds, we have to time it so we fly altogether and land together. Silence or CC shamans so they can’t purge our buffs.
Yeah I know, it was just a jab at how PvP players struggle to understand other servers (often more populated than theirs, too) exist. This isn’t the pserver scene anymore.
Just thinking about that makes me want to level that alt ive been avoiding creating. Purge is the best.
It strikes fear into the heart of any guild trying to beat their personal bests. A couple of shamans waiting and spamming purge hehe. Have to send the rogues ahead and cc them or control them until we can steamroll them lol. All good fun though.
i walk alone to the raid!
cus when i was walking with my raid on Faerlina alliance! we all was getting spotted and getting wiped, but with my previous comment i meant that the Rogue will kill you in town xD
If you play on a somewhat decent server you risk losing your worldbuffs.
Right, so I respond to a guy saying he kills people with worldbuffs and I ask why are people running alone to the raid (clearly meaning on a PvP server sense he stated that he kills them) then you come in from your dadgaming rppve server swinging your epen at my ankles…
Nothing wrong with PvE realms, especially with the realm balance being like it is.
But yeah, there’s a risk of losing world buffs in PvP realms.
I haven’t lost mine in ages, since we charge in as 3-4 raids of alliance XD.
Most of the main alliance guilds on my realm are similar times, so we stick together.
Needless to say, most of the horde stay out of the way aside from maybe 1 raid xD.
