Option removed to buy 1 month of game time from the Blizzard Store? Wtf?

Why have you removed the option to buy 1 month game time?

Clearly, you have done this to force players to buy the subscription of 1 month game time which is still an available option.

I do not wish to subscribe to your games or services - just as I NEVER use direct debit services for anything. I also do not wish to buy 2 months of game time in one go.

This BAD decision of yours will cost you even more money now, since I often gift friends 1 month game time, if they cannot afford to play for a month. I cannot afford to gift people 2 months of game time. So this means no more gifting WoW time to friends until you review your bad choice and re-add the option to buy 1 month of game time to the Blizzard store.

Honestly, who is calling the shots at Blizzard these days? They clearly do not know how to deliver the game to their customers.

I went to check this out after seeing this post and it also looks like they’ve removed the 90 day package also, and raised the price of the 60 day package.

I’m really hoping this was some kind of unfortunate coding mistake.

Doubtful, I think they are just trying to force the players who buy 1 month at a time into taking up the subscription option. Which is messing us around, since we would then need to log on to the website to cancel the subscription. Just for us to then take it up again and cancel it again.

This is an intended change, see

O, so blizzard expect us to redirect the blame towards the British government and Brexit.

Take the blame Blizzard, it lays with you and your bad choices. You are going to lose money for this choice.

That’s pretty gross of them. I can’t help but think of all the people this is going to hurt :frowning: not everyone can risk upholding a sub, or paying for two months at a time. What decisions lead to this, brexit or not, I can’t even imagine.

Instead I’m just going to imagine that they left a murloc in charge of the game time price review and call it a day.

Imagine? no, they actually did leave a murloc in charge!

If you would normally buy a months game time every month then just buy a subscription, it’s easier and you can cancel it at any time.

How is it easier? I then also have to cancel the subscription. So i have to mess around in order to make the same purchase.

No, it isn’t, because I do not have direct debits. I disagree with them.

I do not have any automatic payments for anything. I manage my payments myself.

But it’s not a direct debit, that is a payment from a bank account, you would use a debit or credit card.

I also said “I do not have any automatic payments”. I know it is not a DD, but it is an automatic charge.

The main point here is that I would have gifted 1 month of game time to friends but I would not give someone 2 months of game time. So it is going to cost Blizzard money. It is also going to mess me around having to keep cancelling the automatic payment.

If you are going to keep playing then why cancel it. Or is it just because you are paranoid?

It isn’t paranoia on any level.

I refuse to let Blizzard automatically charge my account. That is my choice.

If you won’t allow it then it’s your fault you have to faff about.

It is my fault that blizzard decided to remove the code which allows me to not have to mess around?

Right…

No, it’s your fault you have to cancel it every month, it’s your stubbornness

I can understand why Blizzard changed the gametime duration, for the most of it anyway. No idea why they stopped the six month payments though.

No, it is blizzard’s stubbornness.

I don’t see that it makes any difference to Blizzard either way, besides them now making far less money, since people from the UK will be a lot less likely to gift game time to their friends, and so their friends will not be enticed to come to play the game and pay for it themselves.

As i explained here… Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options for the British Pound (GBP) - Community / General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

I am sure you have something better to do with your time than keep replying here. Or are you a blizzard employee on an alt account being paid to come to post here?

I don’t work for Blizzard but anyway I understand why it’s changed. You can’t gift two months from blizzard anyway but other sites sell 1 month gametime gift codes, Just go there. You may get it cheaper too.
