They change their mind like Cabbagestew thankfully pointed out.
Second during WotLK and Cata there whas a toggle right below on the map where you could change if you want to see quest objectives on the map. Somewhere between MoP and WoD this whas turned off.
Yes, but if I remember right L still called up map AND Questlog combined - I am hopefully wrong and I hope - fervently - that thereâs that toggle off option to make it work just like it does now. I still remember just how much I abhorred this change fisrt time around.

Keep LFD, Dual spec, Questhelper-in-map, Race and Faction changes in Wrath Classic (but not at launch)

Give 2 Era servers for TBCC

Let the RP server Celebras survive
Make a survey asking players who reads all of the quests word by word and does so for the lore. You would be amazed by how wrong Blizzard is with this decision.
Introducing it later (3.3.0) is not the point, the point is that Blizzard thinks its better for the game to not release the feature.
âWe will introduce it at later date and improvedâ is exactly what we heard about group finder in TBC and then they did nothing to it âŚ
I also dont know what they mean with âimprovedâ. It shows you where the questitems/questmobs are, maybe with an area. I cant see what they want to change about that. Do we miss any functions i dont know about?
If you all donât like the changes then retail offers all the features you could ever want, and more. Preorder Dragonflight today!
Nah. There are private servers that actually has what I want.
True but I donât think itâs wise to mention those on the forums
What they are gonna do? Ban them? Like they did with Overwatch nudes ?
Or ban me? Getting well fed up with them anyway so I wouldnât even care that much.
Maybe more options to NOT use it - thatâs what I am missing anyhow.
I donât know about you but I know where to go for most of the WotLK quests anyway.
Good go there, byeee
on the beta you can turn it off but itâs currently not even working
Are class abilities/skills/talents, racials, and itemization in Dragonflight the same as in ICC? Last time I checked, it does not seem to be likely. I want WotLK, not Retail or Vanilla.
The most important setting in a game is the default setting. Quest helper removes the RPG aspect from classic, so removing this is the correct choice. If people still wanna use questie, then they can do so. Retail wow isnât a RPG anymore, because itâs designed around LFR/RDF/Quest Helper/Etc. The magic/fantasy from the world is removed, and the game becomes basically a theme park without a soul.
For context: When I downloaded classic, I played it in 2019 the first time, and I reached max level without knowing what an addon is (I didnât even know that in Retail at the start).
This made me read quests, etc., and tbh, I think I had more fun 3 years ago playing scuffed like this, than I do now. But now, I couldnât play like this again, because my brain got rewired from playing with all the QoL changes, that addons provide.
However, it should stay without quest helper as a default setting in the game for new players, that will try wow for the first time, when wotlk releases.
Couldnât they just, you know⌠keep it in the game but have it disabled by default? Like most stuff with raid frames and such? Which seems to be how theyâre going to do it in the end but⌠did it take 200 IQ to just do that to begin with?
I really think, that itâs also bad as a setting. It really should just be a third party addon for classic. Maybe you disagree, but I had very good experiences in classic, that wouldnât have happened, if there was this option to enable it. Itâs worth to not have it in the game for new players, because itâs not really a real inconvenience for everyone else. The retail quest tool/LFR/RDF are things that led Blizzard to design retail as a single player game, and a game without soul/depth.
Why donât you let players decide for themselves? If they can dig it through from the Options menu, chances are they know what theyâre doing and they want that option.
Can someone post that Nathan Fillion gif for me please ?
