Been leveling a rogue from 1-55 this last month or two. At around level 50 I started seeing a ton of bots farming random mobs such as yetis in Winterspring and nagas in Azshara. What’s somewhat weird is that every bot I’ve stumbled across has been an Orc Hunter at least of the other faction. I report every bot I see and have been killing them since level 50 (many of them don’t even fight back, and the others turn so slow that I can stay behind them 100% of the fight).
Is there a way to follow up on these bots to see if they ever get banned? To me it’s obvious that they’re using third party software but idk how much time Blizzard have to look inte these reports. Would love to see people banned because my leveling experience has felt like 70% bots in my surroundings.
I’ve seen the same thing. On Gehennas, the naga beach in Azshara is LITTERED with these bots. I’ve reported some of them multiple times, only for them to still be there weeks later.
I can literally do a /who on some of the names I remember and they’re always online in Azshara.
Bots still pay subscription fees, so they dont get banned.
Blizzard needs to put workforce into datamining and busting those botters. Counting on your fellow customers to do the job is just wrong.
We pay a sub to play a game, not to spend each days time to just halt on a form and report a bot, WHICH IS NEVER BANNED, or after spending EACH DAYS the time and hassle to report, and wait from 2 to 6 monthes to expect, not even sure, a change.
I’m worried from what I read in the forums, about those tokens stories. I hope it’s just a false rumor.
Hire one or two guys, if each days they demise botters, in the end it will bring Sauberkeit.
It already is if you’re on on the off hours as in, early mornings on weekdays or in the middle of the night. Literally everyone you meet is acting bot-like.
