Nearly every third ore spawn is unreachable because its under a big stone or something similar on a slope. The spawning needs to be adjusted. (And no, i do not mean ores in caves or something. I mean ores that are freely “flying” at hills or are not visible/mineable at all because they spawned on the ground, but under a rock or slope.)
This makes farming/mining extremely unsatisfying, please adjust the spawn algorithm.
(Also the “ore marked caves” cant be empty 90% of the time, pls)
Totally correct and very annoying. I got frustrated countless times because I took a detour on my journey trogh the dragon isles to mine some ore, just to realise it spawned in a mountain, on a tree, on the side of a cliff or just in mid air. Please fix this as soon as possible.
I’ve had the same problem multiple times over the last few days
He’s an example where 2 nodes just spawned somewhere inside a tower

Also having this issue and it’s very frustrating. It’s a really frustrating feeling to see a node on your minimap only to find out it’s completely useless. I spent a good 20 minutes today losing time to this and wondering if my UI was bugged.
I’ve come across at least 30 different ore/herb nodes that are completely inaccesible, they’re either floating in the air or buried in the terrain or ground-based objects.
It’s incredibly annoying when it’s an infused one as well, like there was Decayed Writhebark I found but it was lodged inside a tree, I could see the sparkles and tried every which way to click it but it wasn’t having it.
okay, I have an update for a small workaround.
if the herb/deposit is just out of reach inside a wall or something you’ll be able to gather it if you bind the new Interact Key in the options: (Options>Gameplay>Controls)
hope this helps until the spawn locations get fixed
I’ve also come across a few ore nodes (no issue with herbs) that are mineable but give no loot and don’t disappear once ‘‘mined’’.
