Other MMORPGS: "I wonder what they'll add next expansion!"

or so you would think but my horse is all around me… calls divine steed and uses a horse in the maw

Exactly. What WoW calls a patch other MMOs call an expansion and charge you 60 bucks for it.
However it’s not like we don’t pay for the patches with the sub fee.

Imo its one of those little QoL things, i frequently mess things up and then dont have my HS off cd, the “port to boralus function” is quite handy in those cases, gonna miss that.
Other than that, eh doesnt matter that much.

Somebody asked (but I am not the OP), but i am definitely excited for the next FF14 expansion, the hook into it at the end of this patch was baller and can’t wait to see what twists and turns we have.

But I am also cautiously optimistic for SLands (had my hopes dashed more than once with WoW to go full on hype mode)

I played GW2 and when I saw you have to pay for quests there, I uninstalled the game. You can’t imagine how much I enjoy having that $15 fee just tick on its own and the game doesn’t hassle me to spend money on it.

“It’s only beta!”

It is very shocking how few people actually know about the Maw and what it entails.
Shadowlands feedback has been entirely consumed by Covenants, class design and Torghast.
Legendary items, world quests, reputations, possible time gating, etc. has all flown under the radar.

You actually get them for free by simply logging in to the game after their first release. Each chapter is unlocked for free on release. You just need to pay 200 gems if you weren’t there when X chapter first launched.
But you can honestly make 200 gems in gold in a single day.

The problem isn’t the money, or even farming the currency. It’s the pettyness, the hassling… I just can’t stand it anymore. WoW just works. Yeah, there’s like two mounts a year added to the shop. I don’t care much about mounts. But I don’t have to even think about the game’s monetization.
