Outdoors Bosses Mounts drop with War Mode ON

Hello everyone,

A lot of time has passed since I wanted to post this thread… I certainly should have made it earlier.
Can anyone confirm that outdoors bosses can drop mounts while you have War Mode ON ?

I’ve now poked Sha / Nalak / Rukhmar since years and years. Here are the number of kills :

  • Sha of Anger = 3591
  • Nalak = 1681
  • Rukhmar = 1647

I’m not complaining. RNG is RNG. But I would be glad to just know if I’ve wasted and will stop wasting any more time with WM ON kills if NOBODY can confirm that mounts can drop with it up.

I hope this topic will help to reassure some mount hunters out there wondering about the same question.

To me it feels like rare mount drops only when you resub, in last 2 years i got only ashes of alar, and that was after month vacation when my sub ran out for like 3 days.
And i run all world and mythic bosses that drop mounts on multiple characters.

Yes of course they do however those you listed have a drop rate of 1/2000 which means it can take a very very longtime to get those. I have seen someone with more than 10k kills on one of them.

Can you confirm that from personnal experience ? I can’t find anyone who can confirm that they’ve manage to get them with WM ON.

And you are right. 1/2000 for Sha and Nalak. However Rukhmar is 1/500

I can confirm they drop in WM OFF. Sorry, can’t say if it works in WM ON

It drops.

I was also mount collector too but I have reached at point when I realised I was chasing carrot on stick. Sooner or later all collectors will realise that and reach that stage.

Many collectors still keeping up with every patch and also keep up with alts.

I can confirm that mounts that drop from Zandalari rares drop on WM on!

I can confirm it, i always play with WM on and dropped a couple of them.

Same for me and my partner when he used to play WoW.

Well, to be fair. It only needs to be confirmed once by a current, up-to-date retail player. If it drops for one, it drops for everyone.

I got sha mount from bonus roll on my demon hunter with warmode on

Been farming Ashes since it was implimented in the game. Been farming Invincible since Wrath, Sha since Mob. All on multiple chars… no luck.

Then all of a suddon last week, during the Timewalking event: First dungeon, at First boss - Drops Infinite Timereaver :exploding_head:
Next dungeon is Magisters Terrace: And I get the white strider :exploding_head:

Now I am worried that I will have another 10 years of bad luck, before the 3 I mentioned at the start will drop, since I used all my mount-drop-luck within an hour on the same day :sob:

Those are not concerned by my question since you are not WM ON once in a dungeon or RAID.

My question was only to clarify the loot table with WM ON over outdoors bosses ONLY.

I got the Galleon mount with wm on so yeah they drop.

I sometimes have the feeling that those drops happen more often on bonus coins than normal drop…

:smiley: i have this theory that everything in game will drop for you when you buy something from blizzard shop
for example in BFA i buyed that PIG mount
and then i droped deathcharger from stratholme :smiley:
but that is just my WILD theory
