Yes exactly.

I feel like we get all the hero gear from Delve vault but we need to burn our selves down grinding to upgrade.

Mythic raid guild members have easier time upgrading gear than Delve players and we pay the same amount every month :confused:

In the end we all did the effort of getting through the content, but Delve players donā€™t have the opportunity to earn such upgrades as Myth raid guilds do for example or M+ players.

Iā€™m not asking to give us free gear, Iā€™m asking to make such solo content so we can earn it.

Well what do Mythic raid guild need better gear for if they already beat end boss, they can just stop killing it, or game should stop rewarding them for doing it the second timeā€¦

Ultimately scaling delves up further wouldnā€™t produce content with sufficient difficulty, over tuned melee swings and unavoidable one shots which are just gear requirements do not enticing gameplay make. The 9-11 levels are horrendous content because of how hard it is to balance something thatā€™s so mechanically simple / role agnostic.

For delves to be difficult enough to justify higher rewards and remain enjoyable / somewhat balanced theyā€™d need aspects of difficulty / design that no longer makes them delves. Blizzard have announced a revamp of horrific visions, which seem more suited (With appropriate tuning) to higher level rewards.

Itā€™s like that even in keys though. It takes ages to grind crests for gear levels and then that gear level becomes WQ gear later.

I used Delve gear to get the KSM mount, which is gone for good after this season. If I want higher ilevel gear I can just wait until a new patch. I donā€™t put effort into stuff I can get for free if I just wait.

CBA having my life flash before my eyes at the end and its 99% grinding crests in WoW.

I didnā€™t say that I think that to be a good thing; if there was content where I could get the mythic mogs by solo playing, Iā€™d do so immediately - but the argument is usually that solo stuff is too easy to give good gear, while M+ is hard enough to give max lvl loot.

Well, I donā€™t agree that that is a valid argument. :sweat_smile:
Anyway, my point was just: Why is it okay to tell someone to ā€˜go play an altā€™ in this situation, but not in a M+ situation?

Oh and donā€™t get me wrong: It wasnā€™t an argument towards you specifically. Iā€™m just raising this issue of double standards that exists, in general.

The difficulty of the open world does not go up. The difficulty of M+ does. More gear means higher M+ dungeons doable. Higher gear doesnā€™t mean WQā€™s are now doable.
With 620 gear you smash the open world already. You do not gain anything from more gear.

M+ has a score attached so higher dungeons done means more score. You do not get a score for WQā€™s.
This has nothing to do with double standards.

Iā€™m fine with that cap. Itā€™s miles above what I was used to in Dragonflight. At most I had full veteran gear and if I was lucky with timewalking weeklies, a few champion-pieces. If I was really lucky, I got champion-pieces I was able to use at the catalyst.

This char is almost 619 in all slots, when there are no more progress to be made on this char (outside of mythics which I have no interest in), I start gearing another char.

Reasons why theyā€™d nerf: they might think hero gear is too strong for delve rewards

Reasons why theyā€™d buff: it doesnā€™t give enough enchanted crests to justify giving hero track gear on the vault, thereā€™s no difference for non weapon slots (you are saving your gilded crests for your weapons right?) between hero and champion if all you do is delves

Reasons as to why itā€™d stay the same: it giving hero track gear but not the crests to upgrade them might mean theyā€™re trying to lure delvers into dungeons and raids for that final crest tier

Yeah getting my key to +8 on druid was horrible at the start of this month. I had like a 6 and it went down to +3, 610 tank oneshotted by 3 mobs in a 4. 620 2k score healer facetaking 1st boss fixate.

It is legit easier once you get at +8

1 what do you need better gear for if you arent pushing endlessly scaling content
2 if you have time to clear 2 delves you have time to pug a +8 or a +10
3 ye everything above +10 is ā€œunusedā€ content even tho its higher difficulty since it doesnt drop aynthing better so its not only 9-11 delves like you said.

I have no problem with Delves offering higher ilevel, and better crests than they do currently, if they buff them so that they are actually challenging. A tier 8 delve already feels insultingly easy vs a +8 key, or a raid.

If they donā€™t buff them, but do offer higher rewards from them, you can guarantee raiders and mythic plus key farmers will walk through them for these items, hurting the 2 game modes we actually want to play.

If you just solo around, you are perfectly fine on 619.
If you want more, you have to play the games content, that gets you there and start playing with other people. Mythic+ +8, last 2 raid bosses on heroic and mythic raid gives gilded crest and mythic path gear(m+ only from 10 keys and raid only from mythic raid).

So if you want to progress further, that is what you have to do. If you donā€™t want to, well, your progress journey is over. And 619 is perfectly fine for solo content.

To be fair; i have no problem with more rewards from delves when the difficulty goes up.

That is exactly what we are doing, or we quit. So i do not see the double standards.

The difficulty of delves doesnā€™t go high enough to justify the gear it drops currently, nevermind higher. Iā€™m all for delves dropping better gear and more crests, if they come from harder tiers, Perhaps offer 12 and up Delves for this purpose.

because

  1. I donā€™t just want better gear, I want delves to scale more so we can get better gear from them.
  2. 2 t8 delves for me is around 30min, takes way more to pug m+8 specially if you didnā€™t do it before.
  3. donā€™t undertsand, was talking about delves 9, 10 and 11 that are, reward wise, placeholders.

delves go up unto 11 but the rewards stop at t8 wdym what do you need it for,
for t9 to 11 obviously come on man wake up, lock in.

m+ is made unfun for me by mechanics like key degerdation, affixes, random pool (its the first season just put all 8 new dungeons in you knobheads at blizzard) timer, so no it is actually not an option if they want me to keep playing the game cause that will lead in me redirecting myself to the unsubscribe page.

Except delve scaling isnā€™t infinite like m+ so it actually makes less sense that rewards stop before the difficulty cap, where it does for m+ because what are you going to do, keep rewarding until people are at the avg ilvl for the next expansion?
