no it is not , there are no officially flavor of the mounth, if it will be i will play on it from the beggining by blizzard announce. All classes should be equal, at least playable, but currently it is not.

You literally want to spend money to gain power, mate. No. Just level up the class you want to play. I’ve seen warriors top the dps charts. There are some scuffed classes currently, but it will take you literally a day to level up a class to 50, and then maybe 2 more days to be caught up with Shadowlands stuff.

You’re asking for power. We already laugh at blizz for selling a level boost. Selling a class change would make them even more of a laughing stock. It will also turn the game into complete cancer, something like warframe, where your character is a mere “account” with zero permanence that you develop and swap loadouts. No.

Not only is it pay2win, but also it will literally make the game f2p tier trash.

As someone who struggles to settle on a main class, please don’t do this.

I would be cool with an epic like, 4 week long quest chain to change class though.
For example being a Shaman and doing an epic story to become a Warlock, or a Paladin becoming a DK would be pretty cool.

That is a load of rubbish. Levelling from 50 to 60 and then going through all the motions, covenant questing to get the reps and the “renown” and it’s a major, major hassle. Then you need to get the Legendary one or two pieces, got to run that stupid Torghast - it’s a grind without a shadow of a doubt.

My mate picked up his Holy Paladin for this expansion, he is level 180, does not like it, wants to go back to his Resto Shaman, but the whole process the Maw, the levelling grind, the covenants, Torghast… He does not have the strength and was asking me should he renew his sub or let it lapse.

Yes it is a game I pay for and want to ENJOY. Making a class change, or faction change, or server transfer, or buying a mount, or buying BoE gear, we already have it all and it’s great.

If we accept the argument that it’s acceptable for Blizz to sell ways to “skip grind” why not have Blizz sell… lootboxes in the shop? Doing m+ is a grind, why not just put gear in the shop? What’s the difference between wanting to change classes in order to do 10% more damage and just straight up buying gear from the shop?

We already buy gear with real money! Buy WoW tokens with real money, sell at the AH, buy BoEs at the AH.

But I do not think anyone would object if my friend Paladin turns out a Shammy a day later.

I expected this argument however, it doesn’t work because BoE’s aren’t an infinite supply. If there’s 1000 boes on the AH that’s what… 0.1% of the population that can get them? There’s around 6 million people probably playing Shadowlands. There isn’t an infinite supply of BoEs so even if you bust out your credit card and max out your weekly limit on WoW tokens, that still doesn’t mean you’ll be able to buy good boe. You may be able to.

Even Allods Online, the most pay2win MMO ever, realized that unlimited class changes cannot become a thing and instead made class changes incredibly limited - they were items sold on the AH and came from itemshop and event farming.

The MMO that sells you a permanent 150% damage boost for $36,000 realized you cannot allow unlimited class changes. They have zero shame in selling anything. To them, selling you a permanent 150% damage boost and 50% damage reduction is something that should be an option for all players, but class change - not.

Just level a new char, if i can level 37 chars to 50 before shadowlands within a month you can level each class to 60 within 2 weeks

The real problem with SL is that highest item levels happen via the weekly vault.

If you decide to change character and it dings 60 a couple of months later than the rest of your group, you’ll always be 8-9 weeks of vault choices behind. Even if your buddies carry you through M+ (which takes a sickeningly long time, obviously), they’ll be vault geared when you’re just dungeon geared.

Alts or re-rolls are always going to be behind our original mains

exept when you raid, as the rewards from raiding is always the same ilvl then by raiding with your guild that is close fully geared from the first couple of bosses then you will get funnel the gear from them to catch up pretty fast on that part and then you can supplement with the vault. so it is not true unless you dont do raids then it is true

226 boe is much more p2w than class change

so me buying a boe from AH with gold(any and all gold i have is farmed by me as i cant afford buying tokens and never will be able to) amounts to p2w so me paying my sub as that is the only money im spending on wow(when i dont buy it with gold) is pay2win ok makes sense

the renown is not going to take you a long time a day maybe 2 the legendary is 1 lockout and the dam ages it takes to get to layer 8 from nothing and doing both wings. the maw rep is going to be anoing to farm again but that is all that really locks you out.

Of course it is. Goldfarming should not reward power. Cosmetics sure, but not character power.
And even if it does, 5 or 6 pieces of boe like they are right now are too much, basically a third of your gear can be 226 without doing raids, m+, pvp, nothing.

PPl don’t get it. It is not he 50-60. My toon has ok gear and done all the grinde fiesta. I will not do it again. If my bear will suck balls next tier, I’ll just stop playing. If I could make it a dh/warri or what ever ok but replay the same boring s… again? No thx!

Gave this game the middle finger and cancelled my sub, Been playing PSO2 and omg being able to change class at an NPC for free is amazing if you’re feeling bored you just need to have the weapons and 1 character.

so me running around playing the game, with a little farming here and there when bored or having nothing else to do is seen as goldfarming? dam did not know that.

now talking about the amount of boe that drop in raid or open world and that there are to many of them is a different story and has nothing to do with p2w or not, now using boe’s is not p2w in any way in my book and most others. now if you dont like boes being in the game that is your opinion and that is about all it is.
p2w would be locking mythic behind a paywall(so you had to pay to get in there or get more chances in there), selling the best gear from the shop or selling boosts to damage, health or healing in the shop, ofc could also be selling upgrades to m+ gear or more loot chances from bosses, none of that is in the game so nope not p2w

I don’t get why class change is such a big deal? People reroll every once in a while on alts anyways, what’s the difference? Only that you save the progress you already have; mostly from old content. If that would be such a problematic matter, they could allow like one change per season or something
