Paid Class Change 🧙

Yay or nay? :mage:

I would love this if they ever implemented it.

Lets say you change class at max level, then your gear will be swapped to that class specific gear, but a bit lower item level (That will be the catch)

Or be given a Paid Class Change Gear Set:tm:

I personally don’t think i’d want this. You’d just have people paying to swap to the FOTM classes with zero knowledge of the spec/class and cry on the forums they suck :stuck_out_tongue:

But hey already do :c

This. And what would happen to all your class specific mogs and stuff?

I dont know if it should be done or not but… For sure it would make billions to blizzard

arent they already accwide iirc?

Goddammit, I don’t want there to be a catch! But, if there has to be then it should include a random race change, with a bias towards gnome/goblin for valid classes.

I pay enough for character race changes this is the last thing I need hahaha

No to class change, way too exploitable both by players and by blizzard, just nerf the current fotm into the ground and raise the worst spec to the heavens makes moneyprinter go brrrrrr

No to paid class change set, nothing that affects mogging should ever hit the store again, the faery dragon set not being a night fae set to gather is a crime

You can’t collect plate pieces on a clothie for example.

i mean, you’ll still have the sets you have collected, but will need to get a diff armor type if you changed class.

Then what about the non set pieces? Like let’s say some random green from TBC.

I don’t want to see, let’s say after Wednesday trillion rogues and warriors.
Blizz would even more create game unbalanced just to cash in.

I don’t like the idea personaly

  1. If you disadvantage the player too much it’s essetnialy like if you boosted, so why do you need that?

  2. If you don’t disadvantage them too much this will be hugely exploited. The shocking revalation is commodiyfing everything is not really a good idea. Blizzard would pull cash from it sure but it leaves the game unballanced as literaly every other critic of this idea has pointed

And besides again you have a boost so? And you might say “But this is my character, the one I like”. But if you can change both race and class is it? What defines the character then? Imo at least one of these should be unchangeable, that being class since it affects you far more than race.

Yes pl0x

Those concerned with FOTM rollers (not that it stops people from doing that already from levelling…) give it a long CD period to be eligible again.

I would have used it this expansion. I messed up big time and chose to main a Rogue instead of a DK which was the worst decision I have made in a long time. So if I could have changed to DK by paying I would have done it. Of course only if I could have kept my ilvl… which I guess is the challenging part of it. How do you convert a class with leather gear into a class with plate gear without losing all the gear?

that would be the tricky part yeha, maybe something like a “class change gear set” based on your lowest equipped itemlevel, or something along the line

Base set, similar to a boosted character, with the ilevel reflecting current patch would be the most realistic method I’d say.

I wouldn’t support this if there was some kind of reputation/currency swap paid option. I wanted to roll something else multiple times, but didn’t do that because I don’t like the fact that my main character had so many unique character-only stuff.

To be honest, it doesn’t take many hours to level a new character so my only incentive to pay for a class change would be to keep my ilvl.
