Is there a reason Seal of the crusader increases attack power but reduces damage, like… wouldn’t it just be simpler to just reduce damage a tiny bit and give the same outcome rather than do it the way they have?
Or am I missing something here…
It’s the way it was in Vanilla so they made it that way in Classic.
if it didn’t reduce damage it would be almost as good as flurry!
Reducing damage is fine but why increase attack power… why not reduce damage a bit less rather than increase AP at all…
Because it’s supposed to be a DPS increase.
Nothing about Paladins makes any sense in vanilla, don’t worry
But the entire thing with increase attack power and lower damage makes no sense… just do one or the other, there’s no need to do both it just makes it into an overly complicated equation
You are forgetting it increases your attack speed by 40%.
I’m not… with the 40% increase attack speed why not just decrease the damage a tiny bit, it would give the same outcome…
It decreases your damage equal to the attack speed, without the AP bonus the DPS remains the same. The DPS increase (ignoring the increase proc rate gained from increased attack speed) is equal to the AP bonus. With a change you suggest it would scale more closely to SoC.
So basically it’s just a weird way that they designed it? I mean I get what you’re saying and that makes sense so it gives it a little damage buff, but they could have just decided to not give it any AP and a tiny reduction in overall damage and the DPS outcome would be the same?
They made some strange decisions haha
But thanks man helped me understand it a bit better
Is there any reason to ever use it over righteousness?
Seal of crusader is for training weaponskills
Applying debuff before hitting with SoR or SoC, that’s basicly all why you have it on your bars, to insta judgement and replace with a normal seal
So are the rats in Ironforge tram line.
Ret paladins do not matter above lvl 59
wot is wpvp
Its a free kill in wpvp

How does a pala beat a good mage?
a good mage?
doable if the mage is afk. luckily, not everyone in wpvp is a mage
