They’ve literally already added pvp gear to reduce crit damage. The gimmick does not work with pvp gear in mind.
Should they add PVP gear to 60 BGs then It’s less of an issue.

these gears you’re talking about gonna have impact for the good/best players
90% of our Labradors(paladins) still gonna get massacred by the exclusive horde class Wolves(shamans)
Edit: not insulting Labradors i love these dogs
Depends on how easy they make obtaining them.
Currently, with the event giving insane amounts of rep for literally doing nothing, people can acquire the pvp head piece quite comfortably.
I reckon most casuals should have the head piece by now.
what about eles popping lavaburst into instant chainlightning with overload procs going off.
they will fry whole raids at once.
This is a troll post, right?
I think a correction would be “ret paladin is useless*” but holy paladin is fantastic in PvP.
I am a hunter main and the class was absolutely OP to the point of feeling like cheating for playing it. It is rediculously strong and some of the nerfs weren’t nerfs but bugfixes. You are not supposed to do more dps than classes in bis while naked by simply taking a certain pet.
This is pretty much where I’m at. Even though my ret set is much better than Holy, and ret got way more runes, Holy has more impact on a fight. Every ret paladin needs a healer to get anywhere and you really can just kite them straight to death. And since most of them are running around with avengers shield instead of tremor totem, just fear them and watch them waste their own time >_<
It’s amazing that people still don’t play the objective in a 20 year old game
Yall wanted me to run premades (so i was told when i complained on the forums) And now just look at the amount of alliance players crying on the forums tonight its comical!
Another point that isn’t often mentioned is group composition.
Alliance has always been melee heavy whilst also lacking healers, yet by comparison Horde always has a better mix of ranged to melee and more healers.
So if you’re going to pitch 4 paladins, 3 warriors, a mage, a druid, and a hunter up against 3 hunters, a warlocks, a mage, two priests, a shaman, a rogue, and a warrior, its already going to be an uneven fight.
A couple of melee will die before even getting into range, those that do make it in will get cc’d or focused down as their targets just get healed up.
The funny thing I didn’t realise until I rolled a paladin recently, is while the alliance are in the graveyard and the horde druid inevitably runs up to grab the flag and run back, the alliance will then try to give chase, get stuck by the same group that killed them the first time, die again, and then people will start raging about everyone “messing about in mid” as if they’re stuck there by choice.
After that the alliance team just devolves into passive aggressive comments or outright bickering.
i mean my mostly blue geared ret with very few bfd items can kill most players that have 1,3k hp in 1 hoj if they dont have a healer on them, and the avenger shield into 2h divine storm combo is suprisingly strong to break the enemy when u actually have the correct team.
the difference is that horde usually has more priests from what i notice, i guess because undead priest is more appealing to a bigger audience than the alliance version, and pvp priest is heavily op
For sure you guys joking right? Maybe this is why Blizzard has to keep resetting to “classic” because of low skill level
Living-flame my Warsong experience as horde: 9 out of 10 games lost in both phase 1 and phase 2. Alliance getting 28 marks while horde 12 = tons of reputation and honor from 10 games.
Living-flame: Alliance won 90% of the Ashenvale events in P1, even now in P2 horde has 0 raids, alliance still raiding them, horde getting 95 honor after afking for one hour in ash.
