Thus we conclude the Third Celestial Fist Tournaments!
After renaming the tournament like over nine thousand times I strongly apologize and promise you that this is the ultimate name of the tournament
That being said! I’d like to thank Gongsun, Thanguron and Grimfist for stepping up as referees of the masters, intermediates and novice brackets, and Krasarang for helping things run along smoothly! Furthermore, the fireworks were AMAZING!
Valaatu has been taking snaps and lots of them! (47 to be exact) - we’ll be publishing those soon, very soon!
I’d also like to thank Uldum Spice Guy Whose Name We Pandaren Can’t Pronounce Because You Foreigners Have Weird Names for setting up a stall and selling foreign perfumes, bathing items and literally anything but food!
And I apologize to the gnome whose name I can’t remember but it spelled something like Lievre for selling food!
To all the participants out there, you’ve done a wonderful job with the emotes, but I also know you can do better! I’d like to especially applaud Erithur, Jakoz, Norwind, Droople, Zalthan, Mao Siniang and Poau for their beautiful and at times mind-blowing emotes! I’m sad to say I didn’t get to see the others, but the referees have forwarded me nothing but praise, and I encourage monk RPers to freely express their characters in every fiber of their being, the way they fight, behave, laugh, cry and drink!
The Champions of the Third Celestial Tournament have been declared!
Novice - The Champion of the West Wind has been declared! Jakoz Markovic has received a medal and a set of onyx prayer beads, said to strengthen a warrior’s resolve when the judgemnet of mind is clouded by fear!
Intermediate - The Champion of the West Wind has been declared! Norwind Sparkspinner has received a medal and a Black Fan of the Bandit Princess, rumored to have been stolen by the hozen bandit princess known as Fu Fu the Fearless! The Black Fan’s sturdiness, or perhaps her own, allowed her to conduct raids and defend from assailants alike without a single casualty, save one day her own. Its trillium shell is sturdy but its true strength is said to be derived from the spirit of its wielder and their will to protect those dearest to them until the very end!
Master - The Champion of the West Wind has been declared! Poau has received a medal and a Belt of the Fearless, said to have been imbued with the essence of a fearless master of the Way of the Black Ox! In darkest times, its wearer may become a saviour manifest!
The next tournament will be held at the Temple of the White Tiger this Winter! Beware that due to phasing issues we may have to ask spectators and participants alike to be level 83+ simply because it’s the best solution! We’re currently working on a plan B in case we’ve miscalculated and a certain daily pops up and turns all of us 90+ people into sad pandas
I’d like to thank all the spectators for showing up and hope you’ve enjoyed the tournament as much as we did!
I for one am super grateful to everybody who made it!
We hope to see you at the next tournament, and remember to leave ALL THE FEEDBACK here or in the discord!
Lastly, if you’d like to stay up-to-date or volunteer to co-organize or be a referee in the next tournament this Winter, do join the discord linked in the original post at the very top of this thread!
P.S.: There is a community of monks beginning to form in the very same discord. Hot tip!
