Paragon chests

Ive came to realise that the lichking was never the scourge of azeroth, its this badly designed mechanic known as paragon boxes that is the true evil at work here, blizz even you must know deep down that forcing players (who collect ingame stuff ie mounts/pets/toys) to grind over and over the same stupid dull boring repetitive badly designed quests over and over and over every day, every week every month in the hope of a mount dropping just to get dissapointed once again with a few resources and a little gold time after time after time IS NOT CONTENT!!!

for the last few months or so all ive been doing is the same unshackled dailies/world quests repeatedly hoping to get the royal snap dragon, ive lost count on how many paragon chests ive opened now and still nada, im still grinding legion emissary content which ive never missed since paragon chests were introduced all those years ago and still missing mounts there.

making players who collect, grind these insipid things over and over is…again, not content nor fun but im sure you knew that when you introduced them, long as we keep paying subs right?

its about time they were removed from the game, just add the mounts etc to the exalted vendors for 1000 w/e currency the area uses, ie manapearls, nightfallen ancient mana etc

after ive grinded the same trashy quests at the beginning of my playtime every day it makes me (every single time) lose the will to play anymore till the following day then rinse repeat

I mean 50/75 rep per quest when ya already exalted is really pathetic, whats that even about? why not double the rep for all the quests when ya reach exalted? least ya can almost double the chance of the mount each week by opening 2 or 3 chests instead of 1.5 and let us move on and use our gametime doing other things ingame.

I dont even have time for alts through these paragon boxes but thats just content right? something really needs looking at with them and i dont just mean the dropchances but more the time they consume and the dullness of repetitiveness that comes with them.

killing the game for me personally, speaking of drop chances in BFA…they all need looking into, previous wow rng is rng but BFA rng is an evil in its own right.

They should just move to the mechagon system. One “big” world quest that gives a lot of rep, with added extra dailies. This way the time-sensitive bit takes less time, so people who are only in for that, get manageable rep per day, whereas those who wanna farm can do the other 6 or 7 a day too for a small bit extra.

It’s the whole hole “time sensitive running around the entire zone” that kills it.

Players asked for them in BfA when they didn’t have them.

Nazjatar paragon is the most boring thing i did in bfa so far, i had the royal after around 35 boxes doing em on 2 chars every day :frowning:.

I’m not sure what a paragon chest is but is it similar to the weekly mythic+ chest we got?

They did promise they wouldn’t put mounts into Paragon Boxes anymore, but they broke their word and did it anyway with the Unshackled. To be honest it shouldn’t contain toys either. Just put gold, resources and artifact power in it as an incentive so extra reputation doesn’t go to waste. Don’t put anything behind RNG.

but for mounts to be in them at 0,1% chance, devs even said they wouldnt put mounts there again but they did for naijz.
people wanted the chests to just give something for extra rep they get from wq’s.

But… players were asking for mounts in them when they didn’t have them.

Blizzard can’t win.

Who did??

Literally everybody on Twitter and the forums complained about mounts in paragon boxes. Ion himself addressed it and said they would no longer do this. Just because there are two contrarian dumbos asking for the opposite doesn’t mean “players were asking for mounts in them.”

And people complained about the boxes in Legion and then complained that they weren’t in BfA, they they didn’t have anything but toys.

When you are exalted with a faction and accumulate another 10,000 reputation, you get a goodies bag: the paragon chest. For every successive 10,000 reputation with that faction, you get another. This is endless. Each BFA paragon chest contains 4000-5000 gold, War Resources and sometimes a toy or a pet. The Nazjatar paragon chest can also contain a mount (same for all Legion chests).

Guess this is the time I should be the douchebag and come and tell you of how I got that mount in the very first paragon chest. :>

Paragon’s haven’t seemed anywhere near as bad this expansion as they were when they dropped mounts during Legion. It took me until a good chunk into BfA to finally finish collecting all the paragon mounts from the expansion we’d left behind. Pretty poor system IMO. I had lots of duplicates of the mounts I didn’t want and no luck with the ones I did. I was very pleased to be free.

In BfA they haven’t seemed as bad except we don’t share reputations with the Alliance so at some point I will have to no life it and get the paragons on the opposite faction. At present I can’t bring myself to do that.

I didn’t get any legion mounts xD still trying for toys as well, maybe after 4-5 expansions I’ll get lucky with 1. Elune curse you developers !

i got the ankoan mount out of my first chest.

unluckily i quitted over to classic and this mount looks bad

Can the pets be used by either faction?

I may have to dust off my 100 troll druid and level it up a bit. (How does a 100 Horde character start the Legion content? I just checked and my troll is in the personal mud huts still with no Legion quest popping up. Lots of gold in the pockets from WoD still, though, which I had completely forgotten!)

Do you have a chariot pulled by those Legion fox mounts too?

I should know this since I’ve done it three times in BFA, but I can’t actually remember. Try one of the war boards?

Naturally, I have ten of them pulling a golden chariot. I travel like a king. Wouldn’t settle for anything less than that.

Head to org. You should get a prompt flash up when you arrive. If not log out in org and log in again.

The guy you need to talk to is stationed outside org gates just off the path near the blockade. The quest prompts would send you to him anyway. Try that. I often find I need to log in and out in SW/org to prompt the quest whenever I hit the relevant level moving on from wod.
