Party of 4, class suggestion

Hello !

So here’s the thing, I got some of my roommates and friends to play Wow Classic altogether and I need your advice because I’m having second thoughts about my class.

Did a bit of research but I do love some good advices.

We’re just level 10 so far so still time for me to get another potential class up to the group.

Here’s the composition:

  • 1 Night Elf druid, still unsure about the specialization. Knows the game and MMOs in general.

  • 1 Human paladin. Same profile.

  • 1 Human mage. This one is learning and spams frost armor every 10 seconds. No judgement we love the friend and do it for playing together. DPS felt the best role to give.

  • Finally me, Human priest, initially to heal but seriously considering shadow.

Here’s my question. Do you think in the later game the Priest will be an asset with such a party or if I should roll warlock instead to provide the extra DPS, since we already have a paladin and a druid who can heal.

We’re playing pvp server so shadow, even if not the best pve class could come in handy. If a priest sounds redondant maybe the warlock is the way to go and have fun.

Thanks for your input !

I’d say a priest would be nice if you wanna heal, not just bcuz they are the ‘‘best’’ but they got a neat buff

Shadow priest are one of the Top Tiers in the game ( PvP only) while holy priest are the Best healers in the game.

I main an Spriest( lvl 27) for leveling. So far, I am able to solo level currently.
Use a wand or buy it in the Auction house in your capital cities. Wands will make your leveling experience easier…

Your druid and pally will mostly be going for dps gear while leveling I assume. That makes their healing rather weak. You as a priest are always geared for healing, even when shadow so a solid choice imo.

But you gave your first time friend a mage, that’s rough (if he will solo alot). But then again, they shine in group play.

Thanks for the replies. We only play all together at the same time. So the mage will be fine

Kind of depends of what the druid and paladin wants to do, for leveling both can be viable tanks, or viable healers, if they want to tank / heal, its logic that you become shadow, or otherwise its a toss up between the druid or paladin that isn’t tanking who gets the healing role.
