Patch 10.2.5 is a sign of Wow future?

For that same reason i still have no idea where that tyr questline is. Visibility in wow is a pain

Well yeah, if you don’t want to run end game stuff then basically wait until the pre-patch for TWW.

All in all 10.2.5 is a huge letdown. New “content” is way too boring (digs/excavations), too shallow and/or written for children (Gilneas “reclaim” quest) and too little in general. Some things called “features” in this patch are hardly patch-features but things players have to expect for monthly payment (new hair colors?!).

Getting story isnt bad, because it is a mmo rpg after all, and its better than the important story stuff happening in a book wich we wont read or in a twitter post as they did in the past.

But yeah the problem is the story we get indeed feels like a fanfiction, and not even a good one. On top of that its extremely short like the reclaimal of gilneas. Since it was announced on the roadmap i thought it would be more than just a 10 minute quest

You guys like to complain about everything…

Its a .5 patch… we never got those patches, and defenetly not with content…

They used to be packaged up into a proper X. patch with content, at the expense of being 6 months to 1 year with NADA…

So what is your point here? Blizzards cadance with content (like it or not) has been fantastic in DF. We should be giving thank-yous from here on out and cheering for more and faster patches…

the trick here is to play monster hunter world

That’s because WOW has been become a game for toddlers and now Blizz story writers continue to promote Horde and Alliance dancing together. Forsaken and Worgen fighting side by side, that’s awfull.

Yep the reclaimal of gilneas should have been a horde vs alliance battle. Or at the very least a battle against a splinter faction of forsaken wich did not want to return gilneas to the alliance somewhat like back in wotlk with the wrathgate event

you’re right, the story is too short and badly written. still, if we can’t have both, i’d rather have more gameplay than story.

I disagree. the patch cadence in dragonflight is only good on the surface. We have so many patches but most of them have little to no content. Major patches used to have many things to do, now every major patch is just 1 raid (with less bosses), recycled dungeons for m+ and a new arena season. open world content? a low effort event that only lasts 1-2 weeks

The writing now is a mix between a story for children and a therapy session.

That’s not true that people complain just to complain “about everything”, this is some valid criticism. Take the Gilneas story line for example, marketed in as big patch feature. Not good, written for children, boring, without nuances, twists or interesting nostalgic moments that would make the quest important or interesting in any way. After completing it, which took about 15 minutes max., you are left with a “what ever” feeling. The ending/outcome was kitschy and boring at the same time. The rewards are designed pretty underwhelmingly. The reclaimed “city” did not even get a flight point or portals. So who gives.

Some people are just very easily pleased by bad content, and some people expect more from a patch, even a 0.5 one. Personally, I didn’t expect anything else from the developers and was still disappointed.

I felt it was a fitting conclusion to a very emotional time for the Night elves (I’m assuming you’re referring to the “Reunion”-cinematic at Bel’Ameth), but i do hope the next patch will give us something to fight.

The “Azerothian archives”-stuff is quite amusing (If a bit buggy, i blame overcrowding for that), but also light on action, a lot of the players are here to run around like silly people and smash baddies, so a bit more of that in the future would be nice.

It does feel that way. It seems fair to criticise the buggy stuff tho.

I think that is another huge issue I forgot to touch on and I’m not trying to bring negativity or hate to the game, I want them to see this and improve although the effort is wasted.

The writing is awful, it is easy to tell the writers are hired leftist activists creating their own fan fiction and reflections of themselves, all cut scenes are about how the feel, all upset and depressing and their emotions, lets us hold hands and dance together, all male characters are written out or given a back seat because men are evil and pathetic in their minds. Just look at the new cinematic, it is just so so far from the game most of us fell in love with.

So true, unfortunatley.

Yeah, and that big patch also contained a new raid and usually also a dungeon or new zone/feature. Legion had all 3 in 7.3 for example. 10.2.5 sucks but it sucks much more when put into the context of 10.3 being non existent, why is nobody talking about this anymore?

Well that “like it or not” part is kinda critical. They have bee fantastic at putting out nebulous “content”, but most of it is entirely worthless and shouldn’t exist in the first place. We’re robbed of real new content in favor of garbage that’s being produced by a few random interns on the side.

I am just saying the same thing you do, but in a more positive manner.

We had nothing. Now we have this. Something is better than nothing. So we have to encourage Blizz to be ambitious with the new Delves so Outdoor content becomes a 4rth pillar of WoW.

Not just complaining for the sake of complaining. Thats the easy and lazy thing to do.

In legion we did not have any mid-paches. The ones we did were class balance at best.

Therefore, you STILL got the same stuff, just that in between each 6 month long pach you got NADA. Unlike now. You ARE getting the same as in Legion in terms of content, but staggered every 3 months instead of every 6.

Whats the issue here?

OK… Lets look at Legion: The last major content patch lasted 349 days. That is almost a YEAR !

SO… what does this mean?: If DF was Legion, then we would get 10.2 and then NOTHING untill the next expansion. And originally the new expansion was due for December 2024… So YES… a YEAR…

Now its been moved to Summer 2024. Probably because they want to stagger content as they are doing now.

So… you say 10.3 is non-existant. I say… LEGION (and EVERY expansion) was non-existant. Atleast we got fated raids now and a new dungeon pool for M+.

SOMETHING is better than 0 …

And before you come and say: Well they could do a new raid and what-not… well they ARE doing a new raid. In the new expansion. Thats where. Patch 11.0 is as good as 10.3 or 10.4. Its just a number.

But meantime, you have something to do. This fated thing is just a massive win-win for everyone !

I meant if you liked the content or not. You clearly did not like it. OK. Neather did I to be honest. I have ONLY done the quests required to step foot on M+ and the raids. NOTHING ELSE. So im on your side of “not liking it”.

But I cannot deny that this 6 month/raid tier cadence is a MASSIVE improvement from ANY expansion, save Legion. And because of fated and content staggering… its better than Legion. When it comes to content cadence that is.

And you cant deny it either.

Are you mad? Legion had 13 NEW (including overhauled dungeons) by the end, Dragonflight has 9. Legion had 5 raids with 40 bosses total, DF has 3 raids with 26 bosses total, in what galaxy is that the same thing? This is just the meat of endgame content, not to mention class halls, mage tower and, artifacts, and all the gameplay innovation they are still recycling like M+ and WQs, without adding anything new and substantial.

We get endless world events for stupid currencies and cosmetics, 70% of which are pouches, backpacks and gardening tools when looking at the whole expansion. We get the trading post which is bribing you to stay subbed instead of providing content, and we get sickening emotionally understanding bs in basically every questline.

Oh really? So all I gotta do to access 10.3 is fork out extra $50 a few months earlier this time? You don’t see how that is an awful deal for anyone except Blizzard and its bootlickers who only wanna play WoW and spend all their money on it?

I don’t care about end patch draughts, that’s when the game is usually at its best and that’s when you are most free to spend time on your alts instead of being on the fomo wagon. You can always stop playing for a few months when you’re completely done, but Blizzard doesn’t like that, and one-game andies don’t either.

Players begged for removal of too many systems and borrowed power in the game so they removed most of it. Now it is just small amounts of trivial world content with main focus on raiding and m+.

How was anything in this patch leftist writing?
