Same problem here, game freezes randomly a couple of times a day, usually in dungeons and raids.
Did a full reinstall of the game, cleared all addons, updated numerous drivers for cpu, gpu and motherboard. Felt like it worked for a couple of days but the problems are back again.
I may have figured out something and it took me a while because the default in game addon manager does not track cpu activity in real time so I had to look out for alternate solutions.
Most notable offenders were basic Handynotes and Zarillion’s War Within extension. Something started feling weird since patch but the update from several days ago completely breaks the game.
After disabling the addons I’m no longer experiencing a 90% FPS drop ten times a minute. I’m playing in an empty phase of Undermine in dead time at night and it still feels very laggy or unresponsive.
However I am still noticing random moderate hangups while traveling around the zone, mostly when entering and leaving specific areas with an objective. Activation time on those is unusually long compared to world quests in the other parts of the current expansion.
i cant believe that there is ZERO response from Blizz on this issue … ITS GAMEBREAKING and definitely will unsub if this continues.
I noticed some patterns since yesterday this happened allot on Priory last boss
and on cleft 2nd and 3rd boss …and it happens also on packs on floodgate
Thought mine had cleared up but seems to have come back, micro freezes for about 2-3 seconds in M+, 13600k, 32GB RAM, 4070 Super.
Started noticing this yesterday in M+; game sometimes randomly freezes for up to 10 seconds and it’s usually in the middle of a large pull. A couple of my friends reported the same happening to them as well, so seems to be something on WoW’s end for sure. Never had these kinds of freezes before.
An update on my running with native windows graphic drivers rather than Radeon. I’m still getting the freeze although it seems to happen less frequently so far. What I am also now getting is a ‘things go really slow’ for a few seconds at about the same frequency as I used to get the freezes. So a mixture of both maybe?
Worth noting that some other people have said things have behaved differently for a few days after making a significant driver adjustment before it reverts to consistently freezing again so I will report back in a few more days.
same for me, really random when it does it but like you said just as theres a big pull and 5-10 sec freeze

i tried to force wow exe to run with my GPU but still getting Freezes . I also unchecked all the notifications from guild info chat (someone recommended it ) But nothing helps if Blizz doesn’t give any respond i’m done with this
Just got a 4 second freeze when i was tanking in LFR undermine raid. As you can see, i’m a very casual player who only does LFR and heroic dungeons. But imagine if you were a pro player going for world first and this happened during mythic raids and mythic+.
Only seems to be happening in raid/dungeons for me. I have now created a ticket where i explained the problem and also linked to this thread. Hopefully an actual human being reads my ticket instead of auto-generatd AI answer (you can test this by inserting a chinese character in the beginning and then writing your problem in english). If ti’s AI generated answer, the ticket reply will be in full chinese instead of english 
dying on raid bosses due to freezes and getting kicked for it GG blizz
UPDATE: got a reply from a Game Master (real human being), and THEY ARE AWARE OF IT AND ARE INVESTIGATING. So this gives me hope that it will be resolved sooner or later
I’m Game Master Smimoriath, and I completely understand your frustration with these sudden freezes during crucial moments like LFR or Heroic dungeons. It’s incredibly upsetting, especially after investing in your account with faction and race changes.
We’re aware of reports about performance issues in Patch 11.1, particularly regarding CPU spikes and freezing. While our team is investigating
EDIT: marking this post as “solution” (i know, it’s not resolved, yet), but at least we now have offiical confirmation that Blizzard is aware of it and are investigating
So it’s only a matter of months 
Maybe i should write a ticket asking when or if they ever gonna fix the renderscale, it’s only been broken for like 8 months or so.

Interestingly I have run 5 or 6 mythic dungeons since the patch this morning and no freezes so far. It might just be a lucky streak, I’ll let you know.
this has become so annoying. we, as a guild froze at the same damn moment in Mug’zee fight on our last pull, as well as individual freezing and stutters along the way, up until that moment.
What is the hack going on, and why is Blizzard so silent on this issue? Many people are already having this problem. COMMUNICATE BROTHERS, COMMUNICATE. Public Relations 101…
Happening to me even with a fresh install and all addons disabled.
Anything from a 2-5 second freeze at any point during M+. Pretty tilting
Apparently it is the new client addition, addon profiling, that is causing many issues, but not sure if it may be the root cause of everyone’s problems.
There are commands to disable it, but it reactivates on its own after restart. One of solutions is to put the script into a weakaura to always auto-load.
I don’t have the exact link with me but try looking for submissions from user “Luckyone” on wago.
I have the WA but this is not the solution, i still have random freeze of ~1-6s.
Sometimes on pull of bosses in raid … or just in fight.
