I always stress when pushing as well, specially being tank for the first time ever, and specially maining dh with the aggro issues…
Same here since last patch, random freeze in middle of combat.
I have been trying to catch some addon error, but nothing is found in BugGrabber which leads me to believe the issue in not addon related.
I had no issues before 11.1 .
Have you tried disabling your add-ons? cof cof (Sorry, couldn’t resist)
Have you tried turning it off and on again? 
What i have tried so far, and worked, is to disable the “Optional GPU Features” in the settings.

Sadest thing is that you can see Blizz responding to other issues in Technical support quite frequently, yet nothing on this ongoing most visited thread in technical support.
My bet they dont have slightest clue what is causing it and are too afraid to admit it even though any form of aknowledgement of the issue is better than silence which feels they are just closing their eyes and ignoring it…

I have same problem… 
Keeps happening often on affixa spawn, last boss mechagon pull, 1st boss Top mechanic. I could go on and on the issue has been happening since the start of the season
Thanks, did this before the raid last night and no freeze during the raid… I always get at least 1-2 per raid (at worst possible moments) lol
I changed the settings on details to only update every 3 seconds and I haven’t had any further freezes since. unsure if this is the actual fix but seems to have worked for me
this did not work out for me and started to freeze much more than before.
gonna give this a go, and regardless of whether it is a solution or just a workaround, I hope that it can ease the pain of freezes as they tend to happen at the most inappropriate times.
and also, blizzard being so damn silent about the issue when a lot of players having the same issue is not ok. damn you blizz…

Never mind seems i just had a good run of luck and it wasn’t actually the issue! Happened again on 2nd boss pull of rookery but did 3 runs of TOP back to back with no issue

Experiencing the same thing here - happened once in raid last night, couple of times in M+
Yea it’s just sad that blizzard don’t do anything, because the problem does not happen to all players. I found a little fix for me, is when i play m+ to close discord and never open any browser… It work but, hope they do real fix.
I installed different drivers with DDU 2 times. Both times it was fine for a week or so, then after a week it starts happening again. I have guild mates with Nvidia and AMD gpu having the same problem. I think it’s a WoW issue and Blizzard are just lazy, lazy bums.
Was ok for about a week in my DH. Then yesterday bricked a workshop 12 on the first pull 2 times cause the game froze for 4s each time I made the pull… Had random freezes through out yesterday as well.
I’m looking forward to get 3k rating so I don’t have to deal with this for a while… Blizzard never ceases to amaze me with their lack of communication, or ill communication, or deflecting topics… Imagine if this was a paid service - oh wait…
It is definitely the game itself. I can play other modern and older games whole day with no stutters or freezes (monster hunter Wilds, Tekken 8, Dota 2, Cs:Go etc…).
I tried:
- scan/repair the game
- changing all kinds of graphic settings
- DDU installing few different GPU drivers
- Deleting addons
There is a similar thread on the US forum with over a hundred replies and people with all kind of hardware setup having the same problem. They reinstalled windows and the game etc and it still happens. So it’s a 100% Blizzard issue.

Very frustrating bug - I’ve already briked couple of keys because of it. It always happens before important mechanics so you die like a dog.
