and now with 11.1.5 addon/CPU profiling cannot be disabled anymore (this fixed those spikes/reduced density for a lot of people myself included) cant wait to go to M+ and deplete becouse i die from freeze spike, honestly this is not just ignoring it they are actively making it worse! smh
this topic has been solved, blizzard you are getting money from a expension, from subs but somehow there is nothing going on about this issue, it’s making the game unplayable, personal content can’t run delves, can’t run dungeons or can’t run raids. If i enter a m+ key i could get reported for bricking it causing a ban trough the new guidelines on not being allowed to deplete a key, be rude and such. This could cause 4 reports.
your patch is making it way worse, even on the loading screen it can tear now, with or without vsync, with or without gsync, with or without any additional overlay, on a working high end setup. Addons can’t crash my login screen.
So if you guys wanna fix something, why start with messing up the work around without providing any fix? the new 11.1.5 content is buggy, the game won’t play at all, how long till we are talking about refunding game time because of this bug? this error and crashes like it have been going on since pre war within patch, don’t you guys feel any shame at all? any pride in your work done? Just why?.. …why?.. … why?
lost my mythic raid spot, can’t run m+ for weeks, unplayable delves and to add it after death and a screen freeze brann taunting me with maybe next time use the harder hitting moves, you guys are breaking your own code of conduct.
logs show a \Device\000000c2
Error occurred on GPUID: 100
nvlddmkm acting up, screen tearing issues on google show up 2023, 2019 aswell so tell reset interface, delete addons repair the game right? maybe a fresh windows install aswell to be sure?
It is not solved, and Blizzard is just acting dead on the matter. It’s getting worse since they have blocked the monitoring-preventing solutions with x.1.5 update, and we are back to the root of the problem once more.
But to clear things out, it is the OP him/herself marked this as resolved just because he/she got a reply from GM,
which says that they are aware and investigating the problem. Probably OP doesn’t know how brain-dead Blizzard can be and trusted them and said:
So yeah, it is not solved by Blizzard obviously, but marked as solved by the OP. Nothing’s been solved or resolved.
I think the SOLVED notification does not mean that the problem is solved, but that they are aware of the problem and are investigating. Maybe they put that SOLVED note to warn people not to keep posting more messages about the same thing. Although instead of putting SOLVED, they should label it differently so as not to cause confusion.
hmmm
When fix? =(((
Just happened twice in one M+ run which was rather annoying. Mine are rarely 3-6 seconds and more often double that…
Yo Blizz, I just bricked my key because I got the freeze as meathooks were coming. Fix. This.
You’re right. I have now removed the “Solution” post, but the problem persists. I get it maybe 1-2 times per week. So it’s not as often as before, but it still happens. Usually when I’m healing. hmm
they even deleted a post i made about this issue… i just reminded them that we pay to get a stable and functional game…
Just posting to say I also have been experiencing this issue. Seems to have gotten slightly better recently but it might just be wishful thinking. Commonly happens when I alt tab to YouTube and back again. Seems like my whole game resets, I see assets popping in and the world rebuilding after a stall.
it’s still happening for me, but also in the recent days 2k lag for no reason from time to time.
so bad , it made me write something in hopes blizz does something(never commented on a forum post in 15 years +).
Hello everyone,
I fixed this issue for good on my end, let me know if it helps some of you as well. After having this issues for months and being very angry about it, I recently had some crashing issues in another completely different game, that led me to the solution. In my case it was indeed not Blizzard’s fault, but Nvidia’s.
To verify that you have the same problem as I did go to your event viewer → Windows Logs → System and search for a time when a crash appeared. It should say something like “The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found.”.
To fix:
-
Download the newest drivers for your GPU WITHOUT installing it.
-
Download latest version of DDU.
-
Go into Safe Mode by keeping the SHIFT key pressed while clicking the reboot button on Windows.
-
Navigate to Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings → Restart. After this press 4.
-
You should be in Safe Mode now. It is now very important that you remove your ethernet cable from your computer. If you have WiFi, I suggest turning off your router for the next steps. The reason behind this is that a internet capable Windows will automatically search for GPU drivers and install them before you can do anything else. We don’t want that.
-
Open DDU, choose your GPU and select “Clean and Restart”.
-
You should now be in normal mode again without internet. Install the GPU drivers you previously downloaded. Once the computer restarts again, you should be good to go.
After this I had no more issues. Not once. Previously the game crashed about every 10-30 minutes for 5-30 seconds. I feel like this is a corrupted driver that somehow got shipped and does not get fixed by reinstalling or normal “clean” reinstalling.
Let me know if it works for you too.
Initially, this error has nothing to do with the graphics card, but with a storage problem. Although it would not be the first time that a hard disk controller affects the performance of the graphics card.
In any case, the error you describe has nothing to do with the problem described in the post. That is, it is not that the game hangs and closes, but that, randomly, the game freezes for a few seconds and then continues to run. During this freeze the event viewer does not display any message.
Some have hypothesized that the problem is due to some addon, but freezes occur even without using any addon.
The most likely explanation is that Blizzard has broken something related to the sound cache, since freezes occur when a boss performs a skill. At that moment, which is when something should sound, is when the freeze occurs. If the sound is already in the cache, the freeze does not occur.
Same here, game freeze ramdomly for 4-5 sec in M+ key (and raid but I’m only raiding twice per week) and also in delves (event of the week) mainly once per day.
No error detected in eventlog (Windows 11), AMD Ryzen 9 3900X+RTX3080 and 32Gb on a 4k monitor.
100% the fault of blizzard. Happening since 2 patches, got a 4080 Super, 128GB RAM, 9800X3D. They constantly destroy their own game. never seen a company as bad as blizzard.
the game’s performance probably never been this awful. Freezes stutters and pretty low fps in crowded areas. I mean like 20 fps on 9070 XT with 20% utility and 80 W power draw.
There is something limiting the computing capabilities of high end pcs. Old engine and all but still something is not right. My gpu should not be held back this badly. There is so much head room left and all that for 30 fps?
What is your CPU?
I don’t have cpu bottleneck in wow. Any other game runs fine.
That’s not the answer to my question.
And also, everyone is CPU limited in WoW, unless you are playing on a super slow GPU ![]()
