PoE wouldnt even be in my top 10 to play as a sidegame, let alone as a main game.
On top of that, its not even a comparable game.
If you wanna glaze PoE, go to their forums, this isnt the place.
its clear you have no idea how wow and diablo affect each other creatively.
Diablo and wow affect each other creatively. POE 2 will affect both.
buddy.
so far, Diablo 2 is affecting poe 2
have u even watch interwiev with poe2 dev jonatan and mark ?
its kinda pointless to further speak to you. i go play some battleground blitz ^^
good luck
Nah youre just another one of those doomers that have been shouting “tHiS gAmE wiLl KiLl WoW” since forever.
None of them have managed, ever. This one wont either.
Been playing wow 20 years will still play it till at least Titan end. at no point did i say it will kill wow, you said that after twisting stuff in your head.
Thats not twisting words
They will really be scared now.
‘I will at least play another 3 years, and then it will be done and I will go play as single player RPF’ Shivers in fear
they are not even the same genres. if anything poe competed (and finally won) against diablo 3 back then.
I find it difficult to say these days what genre WoW is, in that sense I don’t think it’s farfetched to say games from other genres may impact WoW.
I do think the example you gave is a problematic one regarding experimentation and building of own specs. As long as there are damage meters and people figuring out the finer details in WoW, the meta build will rule them all. And unfortunately this doesn’t affect just WoW, it’s a game industry wide phenomenon afaik. Besides that, people want balance. This runs counter to actual creativity regarding this.
I wonder how free PoE2 will be in that sense. And if it is, how long it’ll take before it drowns in complaints. It’s not so much WoW that initiates that cycle, as we do as players and them trying to meet us I think. I do agree it is a bit of a shame
I never got around to play PoE when it was released as I never heard about it and I think I was playing something else at the time.
But this time around I will play PoE2 as I like the look of it and the indepth system and the large amount of end game stuff it has.
Will be interesting to see how long it may keep me entertained. I wish I could have refunded Diablo 4, was extremely disappointed in what it had to offer at the end. But another reason I no longer follow the hype of games as developers lie.
So I’ll see what PoE2 lies about, if I play it more than I expect.
See you december 7th
All I hear is complain and complain and complain and complain, but your problem is right there.
You’ve been playing this game for 20 god damn years.
Not really change gaming but it will be a N1 ARPG.
D4 for how much money they spend on it and how many years they put into it still feels like a beta.
There is no interesting endgame mechanics
There is very little you can do with your gear in terms of “crafting”
Only thing you can call crafting is tempering and masterworking but that it’s just enchanting Plus in my opinion.
Same as that cringe enchanting you have in that game where you switch one stat for another
basically gambling manifested
That’s not how CRAFTING in arpg should work at all…
D4 is only good if you like couch gaming with your friends on sunday
to spend time in D4 trying to be competitive or something like that it’s no go cause it doesn’t even have proper leaderboards.
I lost hope with D4 cause new expansion is simply bad…
POE can’t go wrong cause they just iterating on what already works in the game.
I’m kinda excited by PoE 2 and I’ll give it a try. The devs of that game seem extremely passionate and competent. The boss fights that were shown off in the various gameplay videos look amazing. It makes Diablo 4’s gameplay look extremely bland.
But it won’t take me away from WoW.
Nothing can beat wow combat in the mmo genre for me , most of the other mmos i played are always fun for the first month , which is always the honeymoon phase , also the fact that you say this based on “hearing” and not actually waiting for the game to be out and see if it does actually meet your post expectation is questionable , its been years since im hearing people having crazy expectations on the new bs that get released on other mmos and it always comeback to “wow can’t be beaten” it is what is is.
Why whats so amazing about this one?
I believe they include what was made into the endgame of PoE 1 over the span of several years (Last Epoch’s monoliths, Waystones, Breach, Ritual, Delirium, Expedition, Ascendancy Trials, Atlas Skill Tree and a few more) straight as release content in PoE 2 in new ways.
Which was often a issue with this types of games: A lack of enough endgame content to keep players busy for a while.
Will it be enough to beat diablo 4 though? Sounds like allot of things diablo 4 already has. But I am no expert.
