As the protests are gained under control by the combined efforts of the guards, mercenaries and brave helping hands, a small group of citizens are seen ducking away from the crowds.
They carry the dead and heavily wounded in their arms, moving towards the Cathedral Square, they duck out of sight.
Those they carry aren’t seen again.
Dark chants. The wounded killed. The bodies collected. A portal is made, carrying off the bodies one by one. The orbs of illusion that the group carried are dismissed, revealing their black robes, marking on their faces and pale, deathly skin.
“A new haul. Come brothers and sisters. Our work begins! Begin raising their bodies.”
Had a slight run in with a couple of the Kul Tiran Marines that were assisting the guards leading to a badly injured knee and was almost arrested until a protester threw a shovel at them!
Sick event by Arceli, as they know I had my doubts but they played it out very well and proved my concerns wrong. Very cool
Big problem is how much Stormwind lags - it’s crazy to think that having a few hundred people in the biggest hub on Argent Dawn EU is enough to get it to chug
I don’t remember that being a problem when I first came to this server
I absolutely enjoyed it! Thank-you for it, I was logging both from my worgen to my void elf and I actually enjoyed the impact it had on my Void Elf. It felt a bit welcomed.
Glad I got tag along and be part of it all. Keep it up.
Really enjoyed it! The role play was great from each side during it. Thank you to the organisers and the guilds who took part! Especially that guy who yelled rude things at my paladin and hit her in the head with a brick. 10/10!
It was a great event. I was worried whether it would be ruined by too many OOC’ers, but it went really well. A great balance in numbers between rioters, bystanders and guards.
I even got arrested!
Stabbed in the leg from a rioter with a bottle even the SI:7 came under attack from the rabble. We are watching you .
Had a great time very enjoyable thank you.
This is a shame in general, and it never used to be as bad, but that recent engineering post about how they got AQ to work on Classic helps explain it.
When you have two hundred characters who all have to know where the other 199 are, which way they’re moving, which way they’re facing, which way their head is facing (based on who they’re targeting), what kinds of action they’re doing if they’ve emotes, effects from toys and spells, etc.etc. It all really starts to add up to the number of packets being bounced around.
Unfortunately I don’t see an easy solution - they had to do some custom work to get the 1000+ people “working” at the AQ opening - I don’t think it’d work for RP events :(. It’d be nice if they looked into it though.
