The seventh rastari cohort fell into formation outside the Royal Armory, just as their tetrarch had ordered as they were being prepared to embark on another task in Zandalar. An important ritual was being held in the Barrow of Bwonsamdi and it was their task to escort Ne’calli and Deathspeark Zakuku to the barrow safely and in time for the ritual.

As they arrived at the entrance, Zakuku heard a disturbance inside and ran ahead to investigate. The cohort and Ne’calli came in soon after and in their shock, found the deathspeaker dead, murdered by one of many Zandalari who were vandalising the barrow! The cohort quickly reacted and put a stop to the vandals.

The vandals were interrogated and a young raptari gave away the name of their ringleader, Re’biku, a priest of Rezan who spited Bwonsamdi and warned his followers that the Loa of Death shall bring ruin and decay to their beloved empire.

They travelled to the Temple of Rezan and by demanding Re’biku’s followers to hand over the priest, the temple had been reduced to a battleground as zealot priests and prelates fought the Painted Shields.

They had fought their way to Re’biku at last who continued to preach about the threat Bwonsamdi posed against the empire. But at this point, his words fell on deaf ears. Re’biku ordered his people to trash altars, tributes and even kill other Zandalari that got in their way and he was meant to be brought to justice for his crimes.

Bad news had come all the way from Eversong Woods. A travelling merchant from Zandalar was making his way through the elven woods until he was surprised by a trap set by the Amani who aggressively attacked the merchant and killed him.

The Amani trolls at Tor’Watha had been riled up by an imposing troll named Akro the Hateful who confidently spat on the Zandalari Empire in order to rally his kin behind him and raise the Amani Empire as he promised.

This outrage could not stand and so, the Painted Shields were the closest to answer the call to arms and took a portal to Silvermoon to then march through Eversong Woods.

Arriving at Tor’Watha, they were immediately greeted by the Amani who taunted and threatened the seventh rastari cohort, who’s demands for the Amani to cooperate and hand over their leader fell on deaf ears.

The Zandalari quickly sprang into battle with the Amani as they fought across Tor’Watha until finally being able to reach Akro the Hateful. After one last act of defiance against the Zandalari, he and the last of his followers fought the Painted Shields but were soon defeated. Their heads were taken back to the Terrace of Speakers to serve as a warning to those who would defy Queen Talanji.

The seventh rastari cohort arrived to the sands of Vol’dun due to a request of their Weaponmaster, to acquire ore of the faithfull of Sethraliss so the cohorts arsenal can be increased

Upon arrival on the steps of the esteemd Temple of Sethraliss once again in better hands of her faithfull, cohort would discover the pick up site, looted, many images of Sethraliss desecrated, and her faithfull driven bloody to the ground

Faithless warband of scavengers had assaulted the site, it was clear that such heresy would be met with steel, as the cohort would drive the faithless in turn bloody to the ground until they would reach the leader of the warband and his trained war krolusk, until he aswell fell

Cohort claimed their price and had safely delivered to the weaponmaster and had slain the faithless, now with the ore cohorts arsenal could grow, till the next battle

Scouts from Nazmir reported some commotion near Krag’wa’s Burrow. While they could not give a visual report, they had the Painted Shield’s attention nonetheless. The blood troll threat may have been quelled, but the Zandalari would not ignore the chance to keep it that way this time.

Bloodied one, Parata lead the seventh rastari cohort to Nazmir and began their search from Gloom Hollow. Along the shore, they found tracks that began from some crude rafters that were washed ashore and as they followed the tracks deeper into the swamps, the clues became even more concerning, like the Krag’wa devotee they found hidden in the bushes, dead…

They followed a sudden commotion from The Frogmarsh and they discovered it had been overrun with blood trolls! Spawns of Krag’wa were being butchered for their blood and meat and so, the cohort reacted quickly and fought their way through the marsh.

In time, they could sense dark voodoo nearby and followed the trail but were soon stopped by a great warmother, but with the combined forces of the cohort, they overcame this obstacle and found a blood troll witch who was beginning the ritual to turn subjugated frogs into crawgs.

Their shields were contested by the witch’s blood magic but soon prevailed and the blood troll witch was defeated, her minions retreating back into the swamps.

Well, we’ve just wrapped up our four day event, the Rush’ai Pilgrimage. It was great to see all the trolls coming together over the mutual reverence for the loa. We hunted trophies worthy to offer up to the loa, travelled across Northrend, carved our way through some undead, commenced a great ritual to bring the power of the loa back to Zul’drak and topped it off with a satisfying tournament.

The Loa’s Reprisal dropped anchor at Revantusk Village and the seventh rastari cohort received a heroes welcome by its residents although felt worried they brought trouble with them.

A while ago, they brought old tomes from Shadra’alor to the priesthood of Shadra in Dazar’alor to study and discover ways to bring back the Mother of Venom herself back to life. The Hinterlands was a foreign land, far from Zandalar and so the Painted Shields were given the honours to follow steps provided by the priesthood to begin a ritual.

Their ship drew in the attention of a league of dwarves, the League of Modimus and made this task very difficult, more so, when they arrived at the sight of the ritual itself but despite successfully doing the ritual, it spawned an avatar of Shadra instead of the God of Spiders herself!

To make matters worse, this avatar seemed off, skittish, dangerous and lashed out at both trolls and dwarves alike, not long before creating acid rain that covered a majority of The Hinterlands. The revantusk evacuated the village with the Painted Shields and sailed back to Dazar’alor.

Yesterday the Painted Shields ventured to Highmountain to take care of Drogbar aggression! With our efforts, we tried to strengthen the bonds to the Horde in these troubling times.

Our hunt was successful and we tore the invading, brutal Drogbar to shreds! Hopefully these brutes won’t come close to the Highmountain settlements again … the might of Zandalar shines bright with us!

The road to a strong Zandalar continued on. Soldiers, workers, everyone pulled together to start rebuilding but one thing they required were resources. Iron especially was on high demand and so the empire looked overseas. Highmountain was a monument of land and beneath it, was all the iron they could ask for.

Tetrarch Kezuga got into contact with one of the natives and was told their eagle riders were spread thin and focused solely on protecting Thunder Totem, which meant they needed the extra pair of wings to help watch over their homeland and by doing so, they would be in debt.

The seventh rastari cohort, lead by Bloodied one Parata, flew to the Broken Isles on their pterrodaxes and met with a contact named Kanhet who pointed the way for them to make a start in their scouting mission.

They flew down the river and it wasn’t long until they found a group of drogbar fishing with their large hands, either leaving the whitewater carps half eaten or simply laying on the riverside. After the Painted Shields dispatched these brutes, they found tracks that lead them down river to an elven ruin.

Upon arrival, they discovered that the ruin was littered with drogbar and night elf bodies. A gruesome fight was held here and while the cohort investigated, they were attacked by the vengeful spirits of the night elves! After surviving another encounter, they found more tracks. They were sluggish and also left a trail of blood.

Finally, they came upon a outlook but the warbraves had been killed as the place was overrun by the remaining drogbar who were busy licking their wounds. The Painted Shields did not hesitate to proceed and vanquish them!

To serve the Loa is the most important thing to every Troll that lives and the deployment of the Seventh Rastari to the Cape of Stranglethorne is no different for they were sent towards a supposed holy site.

The Nek’mani Wellsprings has been called a holy place by almost all races and Cultures regardless of its location but that day the Cohort would be send to secure it for the Loa and take it out of the hands of the ruthless Naga that had claimed the springs for their fallen Empress.

The Cohort had arrived to the paths leading up to the Spring and not long after said Arrival they would clash with the Naga and secure a route to the Springs.

Every foul serpent of the seas would be slain under their might but as they advanced up to the Springs they would be met with Crashing waves of one of the Naga casters. However a bit of water does not stop the Cohort as they took their chance and rushed up the hill.

Eventually defeating the caster they would be met with the Great Warlord of the Naga who wanted to taint the waters and permanently claim it for the Naga. However his plans would not go well as the Brave Trolls defeated his forces and slaughtered him.

With the Wellsprings secured. Many priests of different Loa take a pilgrimage there and other units have secured the Area and may the loa be grateful for this success.

I sometimes think of that troll who wrecked Arceli on the Forgotten Shore in a fight… He’s the reason I no longer rely on daggers in combat.

Greatest trolls of our days. We’ll need to get revenge for that fight in Northrend one day!
