I completely failed to mention something super important by the way guys. We have recently brought Vulai into the officer team and is now an officer of the seventh rastari cohort.
And in the past month, weāve got a lot of new Bloodied ones. Parata, Makkoa and our latest addition, Akuh! These three have really proven their loyalty to the guild as active members, engaging members of our guild and really like to step up to make some good things happen for our guild, sometimes far beyond the expectations of their given rank.
Myes indeed and now as Talanjite of the Cohort the Shadrasi will be reborn and more subtle operations will happen. Watch the shadows you scrubs! I am coming for ya behinds! So i can stab it!
It was but two weeks ago that the Seventh Rastari Cohort ventured into the Hinterlands to revive the Mistress of Spies: Shadra. And even through their success against dwarven interruption, what they summoned was a crazed, and confused Avatar of the great Shadra. One that struck out against both dwarf and troll, and summoned a devastating rain of acid upon the Hinterlands, forcing the Rastari to evacuate Revantusk Village and retreat back to Dazarāalor. But now the Cohort returned to the Hinterlands, there they reclaimed Revantusk Village from zealous Vilebranch who had turned to worship the failed Avatar of their lost Loa.
And on the next day they ventured into the holy sight of Shadraāalor where they both killed Dwarven and High elf invaders, but also disposed of the crazed Vilebranch within the temple. Then from within the pond within the holy temple, the Avatar arose up and began to attack both Vilebranch and Rastari. It struck at anything that got too close with a confused and rage filled spirit. Even so, the Rastari Cohort eventually brought down the corrupt failure of an Avatar within its own temple. The Hinterlands were now free from the threat of the Avatarās poison and acid, but more importantly the Revantusk were free from such a threat that the Rastari helped create.
We were invited to a nice banquet all the way at Suramar, hosted by Matron Erena Lunarglade and the Sisterhood of Falāadorah. It was a real treat for us and the atmosphere in Suramar is really something to take in.
The Painted Shields and the Moonlight Melody are close pals, believing Zandalar and Suramar have in common as these two ancient civilisations set forth to make their mark on the world again against all odds put against them. Together, both their peoples can bask in another golden age of each kingdom.
Hereās a link to the Moonlight Melodyās forum threadā¦
Makkoa and Priestess Neācalli approached Tetrarch Kezuga and requested the seventh rastari cohortās escort down through Nazmir and to the necropolis where the Loa of Death awaited Makkoa to appease him. It did not take much convincing for Kezuga to agree, for he would not dare keep the loa waiting and so, Makkoa and the rest of the cohort travelled north.
The Painted Shields stepped through the ruins and marsh to reach the necropolis but along the way, they were set upon by distraught spirits. The spirits pleaded for a way to De Other Side and lashed out at the cohort, accusing them of stopping these spirits from reaching the afterlife.
When the cohort reached the necropolis, Makkoa stood in the middle of the outsideās grounds as the cohort danced and cried for Bwonsamdi while Priestess Neācalli began to beat the drums to beckon the loaās power for this ritual.
The ritual tore Makkoaās soul into fragments: Anger, pride, grief, despair. These fragments were set loose and needed to be subdued by Makkoaās allies. After succeeding, Bwonsamdi revealed himself and applauded the ritual, accepting Makkoa as one of his devoted followers once again.
As always, it was a blast DMāing an event with the Painted Shields. A very friendly, open-minded and welcoming community! Thank you Makkoa & Kezuga for making this happen with me!
After a pleasent night in the Golden City of the Empire with the other members of the Horde. Well soon be setting out to Stranglethorn Vale for the Campaign.
The forest tribes came straight to Dazarāalor and begged for help against renegade night elves of the Black Moon, causing havoc in their lands by ruining temples and shrines.
The Painted Shields were first to respond, ambushing the Dirge of Teldrassil and chasing them out of Arathi Highlands.
The Painted Shields have been a gracious host for the Saurfang Legion in Dazarāalor while Tetrach Kezuga and the rest of the legionās leaders meet and discuss a plan of action to defend Stranglethorn Vale from peril.
The day after, Kezuga calls upon trolls across Azeroth to come together as a warpack which will be vital to defend the ancient ruins of ZulāGurub and the shrines to the loa.
