The Cohort currently reside within Orgrimāalor, assisting where they can and recruiting more tribal trolls and Zandalari who have traveled to the Horde capital. Though they have enjoyed recent festivities hosted by the Bilgewater Battalion and Brewfest. Though they look to the future soon, especially to hear word from Queen Talanji and the War-god.
Boom-tastic surprise in your face.
Visions of Nāzoth has just been announced, along with a lot of new content. One of which was the two new allied races: Mechagnomes and Vulpera.
Whatās more exciting about one of these new races is that we will be recruiting vulpera into the Painted Shields. Weāre hoping the allied race quest line involves the Zandalari vouching for the vulpera and maybeā¦ just maybeā¦ Gonk was hinting at the vulpera eventually joining the empire.
The guild itself is diverse with trolls of various Horde troll tribes and itāll be great to expend that sort of vulpera with our small, long eared companions.
Ok Iām in.
ā¦ Oh! The orc isnāt sitting on someoneās lap.
This evening the Cohort departed to the lush jungles of Stranglethorn, a little trip to visit the old ruins and to get away from Orgrimmar. Though as they arrived, it seems the local jungle troll tribes amassed to attack Gromāgol, the defenses being set on fire before fleeing into the jungle. The Cohort giving chase and cutting down the group at the nearby ruins! thoughā¦ it seems this has stirred the jungle abitā¦
This sounds excellent
Following the events of the previous night, the Cohort rested up in Gromāgol and helped with itās defenses. The next day, they ventured out on patrol towards the ruins of Zulākunda! strange events happening around them from the jungle, voices, apparitions, the sensation of being stalked but by what? as they entered Zulākunda! they were greeted by a corrupted priestess of Paāku! the cohort fighting the corrupted Trolls throughout Zulākunda! surviving a swarm of minor Troll craftsmen, slaves, hunters, workers and such!eventually fighting the priestess and her allies as the void apparition enclosed them! though the Cohort was successful and the corrupted Trolls in Zulākunda put to the sword, Gromāgol is now safeā¦
Under the direction of the War Godās emissary, the Seventh Cohort have recovered an ancient weapon-oil, said to be made from the fermented mojo of a long-dead warlord. This, it is said, is one of the illustrious components needed to rebuild Atalāaka, the Devoted Daughter of the Empire - a poleaxe shattered during the ancient battles that raged between the trolls and the Pandaren.
The Cohort has been recently collecting pieces of an ancient troll weapon named Atalāaka which is Zandali for āDevoted Daughter of the Empireā itās said to be old as the Empire itself and the War-god has been sending the Cohort to collect the that have been kept by various Troll tribes. The latest piece was to be found in Shadowprey Village, where it has been safe guarded by the village elder. It has spiritual powers to commune with the dead, but after the nearby Maraudine Centaur tribe raided the village and stole the piece, they have used it to raise the spirits of Mauradon to build a spirit army of long dead Centaur. The Cohort were then sent out to deal with the Centaur, wiping them and their leader Khan out and obtaining the artefact. Informing the village leader that they are safe aswell.
This evening the Cohort traveled to Winterspring to attack the elves that live in a small village there, their goal being to retrieve the moon steel regardless of the elves objections. The Cohort arrived with haste and traveled to the village, fighting off the group known as the āDirgeā though Tohgaājin sneaked into the village undetected and retrieved the steel the Cohort saught. After a few further skirmishes and the rescuing of the captured Priestess, the Cohort depart from the area victorious! and another piece for the weapon retrieved!
The Cohort has been enjoying a few days of rest after fighting in Winterspring, taking part in the promotion ceremony for those most worthy of elevation to Shieldmon! and then travelling to Dazarāalor for some worship to the Loa over the weekend aswell!
Wouldnāt the Painted Shields be cold in the snowy Winterspring zone, being dressed up so lightly and all?
Honest question.
I think thereās lore of trolls being disadvantaged heavily in colder climates, (With the exception of frost trolls).
But with Zandalari being all regal and very proud of their herritage, they might not want to cover themselves in rag as supposed to their usual fancy dress and ceramonial armor and all that, so you can probably get some cool. āPride vs Pragmatismā interactions from it.
Ah, well that does makes sense.
Thanks for the reply!
And half the tribals are covered in moss, apparently that keeps them warm
