It is, but so far nobody has come up with anything better.
As I keep saying, to avoid this its only 1 thing you can do, make your own grp/play with friends.
Ppl will rather quit, I guess that is what those griefers want anyways. Sick ppl who enjoys griefing and ppl who support them

People would ask groups to kick them from dungeons they didnāt want to do so they didnāt get deserter and could re-try for a different dungeon, or they would afk at the start of a dungeon and face no consequences. It became enough of an issue that Blizzard added deserter if you got kicked before the first boss.
Not seen anyone get kicked that wasnāt AFK so far, but I have noticed a LOT of people will quit a dungeon as soon as they do the boss they need, probably because they reached the weekly valor cap and there is no ācomplete this dungeonā requirement for any worthwhile bonuses. Last night most of the dungeons had this happen, and I also got ported into groups that had just killed a boss, so I was replacing someone who did it.
I have been playing random dungeons from 70-80, and now from 80-84ā¦ I have never been kicked onceā¦ Sounds like a YOU problem tbh
Same about if you leave your entrance door at home open.
Some ppl donāt have enough maturity to accept the result of their acts.
But he is also true: some edited by moderation are abusing of the system. The real solution is removing the DF and make jumps over realms possible.
Yeah I MUST be the problem when i got kicked cause the plate user tank voted me kicked cause she/he wanted all the plate gear

The reason that is there is because before that was added, before were just going afk and telling people to kick them as they refused to leave themselves because that would have given them the debuff, whereas getting kicked didnāt. So it was actually rewarding people for getting kicked by letting them avoid the debuff.
That basically never happens. Votekicks are almost always called for by the Gogogo-er faction. People are kicked for handing in quests. Itās ridiculous and basically the toxic behaviour that should lead to a kick instead.

This problem has existed a very long time. Itās part of the classic cata experience.
Iāve been in groups comprising 4 druids and 1 other that have kicked someone for not being a druid. Iāve been in groups where they kicked the tank then couldnāt find a tank and had to disband.
Itās too easy to kick and for whatever reason people always vote yes without thinking.
Blizzard should remove the deserter debuff as it does more harm than good but they havenāt done for years and I doubt they will now.

My suggestion with groups in the RDF is to look at names. If there are 3 or more from same guild then you are running the risk of being out voted.
So it might be better to not even start with them. I always saw groups like that as a threat and i am not joking. Luckily as healer since i play that the most i almost never got voted off as i am more or less essential and they are more fogiving to healers.
Ive been a solo player most of my wow game. I do love dungeons so have done all my gearing including M+ in pugs. I think it has made me a better healer being exposed to all classes, skill levels and class combinations.
But keep in mind that not all people are āniceā some will get rid of you so they have a better chance of getting that piece of loot.
Three are people in this world who are total narcissists and sociopaths who think nothing of screwing you over for their means.
Again never happen to me, just did all quests in Cata dungeons getting to 85.
I just got kicked out of a lvl 50 dungeon (Blackrock deeps) after a wipe because āNo damageā. Me and another shadow priest. And we were doing everything we could do.
People at this level think they are playing mithyc +, tank pulled like 10 or 15 mobs and the problem was that we did no damage, itās ridiculous.
Just wanted to report him for toxic player but we canāt.

Had a hunter die in deadmines nightmare phase and the tank+healer+ their dps (all 3 from the same guild ) just kept going and refused to res or wait, my soul stone was on cd, we make it past the nightmare phase and instead of waiting so i can summon the hunter the tank just pulls the boss.
The hunter is still running back and they want to vote kick him for being āafkā, i press no and they start spamming racial slurs and other kinds of language in party chat and my whispers, boss dies and they need all the loot including cloth and mail leather items.
Thereās some really pathetic people playing this game.

I hope you reported them. While not waiting for people to rez is not ban worthy offense, verbal harassment is.
Happened to me once, i had someone visibly irritated starting copiously insulting me a while back. I add him to my friend list, and reported him for bad language. Havenāt seen the guy connected for a week, and it was the first week of an expac too, he must have been soooo pissed

Yeah ofcourse, Those kinds are the worst.
Last night got kicked from hc after i died on last boss in mid fight when boss had like 50% of hpā¦ feels bad
I got kicked today for needing on a upgrade, other 4 members were clearly from same guild because i won they kicked me. so i was the forced out of getting the rewards of joining the random dungeon and forced to wait 10 mins before joining the que. this is clear abuse of the system.
Joined 6 groups today and 3 of them kicked me first for the above and the 2nd apparently AFK as i forgot to take teleport but was 2nd on dmg and 3rd time was due to 3 guys were toxic and persistently kicking people.
Kicking system needs to be disabled till you find a fix, maybe limit it or flag people who are kicking people often in the random dungeon finder.
Random dungeons are for all not min maxing toxic players this is destroying the game for most players right now. Im a returning player and i am now at a point quitting the game due to how toxic the system is
