They dont get money by playing wow, they get the money by entertaining thousands of people, its really different.
Its like the people who say football players get money by kicking a ball.
Because bald man isnât all that entertaining and a certain duo from my server are the biggest bootlickers/sellouts that can walk in a pair of shoes.

I think it depends on what community you ask⊠A lot of streamers and youtubers have a lot of fun going to RP-realms and create havoc there.
I havenât come across anyone from those realms that say they are good for the community.
I have watched some of the popular ones to figure out what everyone is talking aboutâŠ
Most of them are unpleasent.
Some of them seem to have just as many problems with gameplay as I do, but still are they apparently the voice of the community.
And their followers doesnât really allow you to get a good look at the gameplay.
With the gaming market, I doubt they are the main reason why this games still is alive - youtube videos before did that, and mentions in tv-series did that, but I doubt the streamers bring in new players to keep it above surface.
Thatâs how I look at it

Since their income depends on it. They need to fill the stream somehow.
And youâll find that often means amplifying small issues to seem bigger than they actually are. As this is fairly easy filler.

No i judge a person from his actions, and this guys actions caused damage to the game we all play with un-necesary drama just to get his popularity.
No⊠I know he is acting stupid to get views, but its pretty clear hes very smart and took the best chance to exploit the game heâs playing and cause a mayhem for nothing. This is considered smart for them, but for me its something to dislike therefore i choose to never watch that guy and the other 2 that did exactly the same thing.

Streamers and mainly the ones from Twitch are getting stronger and stronger.
You can see games like Fall Guys, Fortnite, Among Us between others to see the impact they have.
Everyone knows now about the state of pvp, or the state of a class or about pretty much everything because of a youtuber/streamer who said it. (Not everyone has the beta nor the time to test everything)
(Streamers talk about X thing, more people start to talk about that X thing and then you hear about that X thing.)
And of course, youtubers are still big and they do the same as streamers.
The thing is that streamers are the new thing, so a lot of people dont know what they do or how they get money.

I know what youâre saying but it wasnât really my point.
I could reword it to they earn thousands while playing a game they talk bad about.
Although for a lot of youtubers they do earn money by talking bad about it via click bait youtube videos.
Itâs still the same conclusion.
I donât hate WoW streamers - I care nothing about them or their opinions.
Because people treat those random nobodies like gods

I tend to find most âbigâ streamer personalities to be very dull, boring and 1-dimentional, so if his fans find him entertaining thatâs a them problem.
