Well I do agree with you if it’s the layering system you are against. But personally I’m not against people camping the vendor to monopolise the vendor item. If someone is ready to invest thst much energy to do so, then all power to him… Ofc under the assumption its not a bot.
Also OP, make a GM ticket and ask the GM to investigate the bots.
They’re not botting. They’re simply using 3 keys over and over.
Key 1 - interact with target (i.e. open trade window with the vendor)
Key 2 - try to buy vendor item 30, 1 or 31, 1 (which is where the pattern is sold)
Key 3 - escape (i.e. close the vendor’s trade window)
Repeat forever.
It’s boring, but I’ve done the same for hours while watching a movie on my second monitor. It has nothing to do with botting.

This is the macro I used for trying to buy the patterns:
/run BuyMerchantItem(30,1)
/run BuyMerchantItem(31,1)
So much for being a bot, eh?
Boxing isn’t botting. Botting is terrible but we’d be pretty dumb to label everything that we wouldn’t bother doing ourselves as botting

back in the days were i multi boxed 50 character who essentially transformed their mana into a particular rune every hour. Some days I did that easily 18h straight.
Ye. I tried to explain to the OP thst some people simply do invest that amount of effort in these games some times. And thus multi boxing to camp NPCs should not by itself be against TOS
That’s just the a macro you program to the bots. Then you send them to all the layers and buy all the patterns with one press of a button. Sometimes no button needs to be pressed since you can do another macro on you keyboard to time it synced to the item spawn cd’s.
So yea we know how it works and who cares how its done. Its the result that is hurtful to the game.

Still. Camping vendors should not be against the TOS, and so is not Multi Boxing either. It seems that the problem you have is with Layering… And with that I absolutely agree.

Mate, you install TSM and import a group someone else set up and then click a button for the addon to insta buy anything someone accidentally posted for cheap, it’s not some 300 IQ stuff going on here.
Saw no bots at the vendor (also Firemaw server) just alot of people spamming their macro’s.
You’re very naive if you think you can make the difference.
By the way… if you spam the macro with a programmable keyboard, it’s botting, it’s automated and it’s a bannable offense.
You will be then attacked by the guuards on Everlook and if you kill guards you will loose reputation.
