Theres a handful of people on Firemaw which are 24/7 on the vendor Qia in Everlook / Winterspring that instantly buy any pattern that pops up, leaving others no chance, I’ve been there pretty much every day the last 7 days throughout different times of the day and its always the same few people, even tried to layer myself but guess what, the bots are distributed across a the few layers left, all low levels as well for some reason . Can provide screenshots if needed. Would be nice if you look into that blizz, dont wanna have the experience of a p-server filled with chinese gold seller bots.
people who abused layering/instance exploit already have 50k+ gold
economy destroyed by bots/chinese farmers in less than a month
all content cleared in quest greens while half of the raid is not max level
classic looking great so far
Auction House bots busy also.
Problem is there, but its affecting you only as much as you let it affect you.
You are already too late to ‘‘be the first’’ in anything.
You won’t be the best, you won’t be the richest, so why care?
The Classic journey is to enjoy it, not be in a race with others.
What difference does it make if you have 1k gold or 50k+ gold? It’s still enough for what you need, rest is just meaningless.
Just chill, enjoy it and get out of the house more, so you learn to value other things in life.
Alright so in your humble opinion It doesnt affect me if I have to pay 100 times the price of the pattern, because some biggot setup a few bots that buys those patterns for cheap and resells them on the AH for 100 times the price and after that proceeds to sell gold for real money. Got it, thanks for your valueable input. (not)
Competitions don’t end with the first one crossing the finish. They end when the last one does it. Everyone is free to compete or not do it as much as he wants (as long as they all play by the rules).
When someone cheat it always has an effect, even to those that barely compete because it makes everyone else feel like being maken a fool.
Every multi-player game is both competition and cooperation simultaneously. We agree (i.e. cooperate) to compete by the same rules. When someone is not playing by the common rules the game looses meaning.
- its not 100 times of the vendor price and we both know it, dont be a drama queen.
- if it’s more expensive, than the game for you just got a bit more challenging, isn’t that why you got into classic and not BFA?
- whatever the reason, it doesn’t affect you if the price is high because blizz set it high or some guy is the only source of it. Price is high, period.
- as for who sells gold for real money, this concerns you how personally?
Try to look at the big picture, might do you well in life.
Well damn, that a well written forum post.
I echo the same sentiments, while I do sympathize with the frustrations of the OP (and I really do, it’s a nasty situation) try and see more than just this one example of the game. It’s a pain in the *ss, it needs to be fixed but in reality, it’s a very small % of your overall game time. Just move onto something else and come back to it later
Lmao this forum community…
Apparently botting a vendor is not as bad as wanting to own a specific recipe from a specific vendor.
“dude chill out hes just breaking TOS and you are actually evil for trying to rush this recipe.”
If there is any prove someone is botting - okay, but so far I don’t see any. Could be just someone more dedicated to it, lol
This is why friendly fire should be enabled, especially near limited pattern vendors.
Also, the buying of a pattern should have a casting time so that people can fight over the pattern fairly by killing each other, be it a gnome or an orc, shouldnt matter, friendly blood should be spilled.
#nochanges is not justified for this case.
Botters should be banned and their houses should be raided.
Imagine defending botters lol.
I’ve never seen the patterns for less than 70G, since they cost 1,5G it’s not a 100, but never lower than 50 times… so take your own advice and go outside, stop wasting peoples time on forums with bot defending replys…
they gotta be super dedicated to stand there whenever I checked up on the vendor throughout a week at different times of the day
No matter if I checked at 2am local time, 3pm or 10pm every day, they always were and will be there.
As said I have a few screenshots which im gonna gladly provide to blizz if they need further evidence to investigate this issue, but as it seems they couldnt care less about botting and RMT in classic, might as well go play tbc elysium at that point and save myself the monthly fee.
They have to make the pattern soulbound! Would end all this stupid nonsense.
great job of putting things into perspective
Maybe they are just using a script to instantly buy a item in a certain slot and spam two buttons until they get the desired item. I hear thats how people got the rune bag pattern quite easily.
So you’re supporting cheating.
Just keep reporting them and suggest other people to do that. If enough reports pop up, they’ll investigate.
