Mythic raiding is a valid game system and activity. Being a level 10 twink with level 50 items is most definitely an exploit. What you’re doing at level 10 with a twink and these items, is creating an entirely different strand of progression by effectively levelling up without taking your character into other brackets where you’d be meeting other players at the same level as you. You’re levelling up but still facing far lower level players. Just because you’re level 10 and they’re level 10 does not mean it’s level - in fact I’d guess that you’re effectively level 25 or thereabouts while it appears to others that you’re still level 10. Exploit.
They’re obviously not working as intended, and I’m sorry but I don’t believe for one second that you cannot see that.
We’ll see soon enough whether Blizzard intended these items to be given to level 10 players. I’m guessing they’ll either remove the items, downgrade them, or take some other similar action.
People are getting to infuriated over this.
It’s a lvl 10 character…
Who cares that he’s able to destroy lvl 20’s.
During wrath you could make a lvl 1 give it full enchants and defeat lvl 25’s…
It was fun to see it happen, but it didn’t “ruin” the game for anyone.
after Shadowlands comes out and the dev team has a bit more time to fix non-SL bugs it’ll be fixed very quickly.
It can still be fixed before the launch as well.
The legion dungeon Ilvl 47 rewards were fixed after 1,5 days.
I’m not talking about the crafted saronite bombs, I’m talking about the Legion quest reward gear.
The reason bomber man got banned in WoTLK was because the bomb glitch was used (even unknowingly so) during a world first race. You can thank the E-sports scene for that.
Lets look into calendar what year it is? yes the 2020, where people want to cancel anything and everything they do not agree with. I have met some of those L10s in my leveling tours and have had nice chat with them. Not exploiters or cheaters, just people who pay attention what happens around them and seize the moment and above all they love the game. They do what we all were able to do and choose not to. And thus those, who did not know how or why now complain pointing fingers.
Classic 2020, nothing to see here. I just hope that community is wise enough stop supporting those negative cancel-culture people.
Why?
It’s not up to us to beta test the game on the live servers, things like this should’ve been caught earlier and fixed on the PTR or during internal testing.
Everyone could’ve figured out that squishing the levels from 120 to 50 would cause problems, and, unsurprisingly, it has.
If they start banning people for using an item they get for completing a quest that’s beyond low and a bigger issue than any unbalanced PvP that occurs because of such an item.
Fix. Your. Game. Blizzard.
They’ve already been scaled down, at least for new toons.
Characters who got those items “pre-fix” keep them as they are. The people crying here really confuse me though, because there’s much more broken stuff in the game than these pieces of gear.
At lvl1, you can use the crusader enchant. It doesn’t matter what lvl you are it gives 100 strength. It literally doubles your primary stat and has a high proc rate.
Mark of the Hidden Satyr procs often for a significant chunk of damage.
How about the frag grenade? Requires 5 (yeah, only 5) in Northrend Engineering. Short cooldown, deals 200-300 AoE damage; also incapacitates people that are hit.
How about the ghost iron whelpling trinket from MoP engineering? You can create a lvl14 version that still has 3 cogwheel slots. If you get 75 Cataclysm Engineering, you can put 3 cogwheel gems in for +10 in whichever secondary you want. Lvl14 trinket with +30 stats.
But as usual, people are crying about something and literally don’t know a damn thing about the subject that they’re crying about. Ignorance and stupidity at their finest.
Saying “the quests are working as intended, the questreward isn’t scaled properly” is a contradiction. The reward is part of the quest. You can’t get the reward without doing the quest. Therefore it’s part of the quest, and as you said yourself, it isn’t scaled properly, therefore the quest is not working as intended.
You can go on making all the excuses you want. The fact is a level 10 character with level 50 items is exploiting no matter how you try to dress it up with “everything is working as intended”.
No, it’s not, you just don’t understand the statement.
Yup. And the quest gave you an item you could wear. Seems like everything is working.
There’s no point in arguing about beliefs. No matter how many people tell you that you’re wrong, your belief prevents you from accepting that fact.
It’s fine, some people believe in fairies, others believe that we’re living in a simulation and you believe that it’s an exploit. No matter how insane beliefs are, people won’t let go of them. And you’re just another person that believes that their beliefs are the only true facts in the world, some people call them fanatics.
There’s no shame in accepting you’re wrong after dozens of people tell you you are. You misunderstood things, you didn’t know the definition of an exploit or you simply didn’t think enough, nobody would blame you if you stopped arguing, but you can’t. I wonder why?
Anyway, I’ve no interest in arguing about beliefs. I enjoy talking about facts, not fairy tales. And well, even though the fact that these items aren’t an exploit is a fact, you believe otherwise, so there’s no point in talking to you, at all.
