man are they treated like garbage
was in a dungeon and a dude was kicked for “low damage” in a bfa dungeon and he had zero heirlooms but played just fine no wipes no accidental pulls did his rotations correctly
i was shortly kicked after for speaking up against it
i mean i get it people want to clear dungeons and level quickly but come on man leave the people without heirlooms alone kick for actual valid reasons
take games for what they are enjoyment don’t stomp on a brother or sister who might even be new to the game because they can’t brainlessly click buttons and do top damage and then slap em with a kick and a leavers debuff
very sad day

Could be also the fact the player’s spec doesn’t scale too well during leveling.
Say, arcane is a powerhouse but Aff would struggle as they have no time to ramp up, heirloom or no heirloom.
What spec was the guy that got kicked, if you can recall, OP?
Either way, I’m sorry for both of you.

im sorry that happened.
Heirlooms are extremly expensive for a new player, and the only reason i got them is because a generous player gave me lots of gold, more than i needed. Will never forget his kindness.
but ever since they removed the XP i wouldnt waste my gold on Heirlooms.
Also want to add unfair kicking is not ucommon. Had it happen to me once and got a rude whisper afterwards threatening he will contact blizzard for me trolling, when in reality i simply was learning how to play holy paladin.
there are also times when people are too kind and didnt kick, for example when i accidently fell into death or when my niece woke up and started crying so i had to leave the computer and be AFK without warning, didnt got kicked for either reason and explained my situation Afterwards
There are good people out there. Trust me. I would rather be kicked, then kick someone unfairly. Good ridence.

But the huge problem is:
New account (Removed or lost and forgot email + passwords) begin at 0 lvl heirlooms at lvl 5 heirlooms for each type of the armors like Helm, shoulderpads, necklace, cloak, chestpiece, and pants are expensive + (Idk what to tell you but) type for Cloth, leather, Mail and Plate armors
5K golds for BFA and SL heirlooms
Total would be over 150k golds to cost (Maybe), but I didn´t count but they are actually expensive
Pretty much this. I never used heirlooms on levelling during Winds of Wisdom weeks. Rather wear socketed purple items crafted by mains or sold by PvP vendors or in AH.
That doesn’t justify kicking someone from Levelling dungeon due to low damage though.

Overall low damage is coming from getting higher level. The lower the more crazy damage those couple buttons are doing. Same for healing by the way. On lvl 10 your fill a bar with 50% on a tank with 1 button, on lvl 40 it is like 5%.

I’ve seen all sorts of kicks , power tripping =)) ,sadly there isn’t anything u can do about it , queue up for next .
The most dangerous groups are 3/4 friends (12 year olds ) u will almost get kicked even if u are 1st in dmg .
Doing dungeons isn’t even the fastest way to lvl a toon.
Even if it was, it 100% does not justify a kick. What a bunch of rotten murlocs.
It’s one of the (many) reasons why new players don’t stick to this game. Their experience can be quite horrible.
A bad part is: Shadowlands has a very bad lvling if I don´t do the WQ (Threads of Fate)
I can’t stand SL leveling either, but I was under the impression that OP was talking about BfA dungeons.
Looms would have a much greater impact in those.
been leveling fast through the BFA storyline. It can get boring after a while but its so much fun! Kul tiras quests feel like Pirates of the Caribean at times.
There is too many mobs to handle without stealth, almost died twice but luckily with the XP buff there has been other players leveling in the zone too
Toxic people are toxic. It doesn’t matter if one has heirlooms or not if you’re short of perfect they’ll probably find something to complain about. I recently got a healer that started complaining in chat because people didn’t know the dungeon and didn’t know what to do. Instead of calmly explaining stuff they started complaining about what the hell we were doing and eventually left.
People need to remember that normal/heroic/timewalking dungeons are the lowest difficulty that exists for certain dungeons so expect to meet new/inexperienced people.
If these people are grouped together it’s pretty easy for them to kick people for whatever reason.
So because people can get bored while questing (but won’t in dung???), they should be able to remove new players just because they want the lvl process to be quick ?
Can’t they just stick with like-minded people to ensure “quick” runs ?
Why would they bother risking to stumble across new or slower players if they want smooth and quick runs ?
Doesn’t make sense to me, tbh.
I think that a player that have the “new player” flag should be immune to votekick. Put a anti-afk system like there’s in bgs so wanna be l33t players won’t complain about afk or smth.
he was elemental sham and i could tell he had either studied his class and spec through (wowhead or icyveins) or was extremely lucky to place his spells in the right rotations and he played just fine
It shouldn’t even matter honestly. I’ve once had a level 30 warlock who pretty much spammed shadow bolt, as long as the dungeon is progressing, people should get the chance to learn.
A leveling dungeon is not a +20, it’s not fair to expect everyone to know what they’re doing.

Heirlooms are no longer all that great since they lost their main point - exp bonus.
They are convenient yes but they are totally unnecessary given the drops you get these days.
Its partially because some people play games like its a work which has to be performed in certain time like theres a big reward, but in the end when we play these games, time is worthless, nobvody pays anything if we play or not because its not paid work.
In any case Heirlooms always had the problem with them being too good on stat side. They are litle less powerful these days but the problem is not fixed, instread they removed the XP buff which is not a problem at all. Especially in scaled content we have these days… Well its problem for Bliuzz because leveling too fast makes the level boost token less appealing, but its too costly anyways so thats about that.
a simple solution for this would be to make them more accessible with other means other than gold or a grindfest…aka…get all classes to max lvl>> get some heirlooms till lvl 45
If 2 people got kicked for dumb reasons then you just have to accept you got a bad group and move on. TBH Ive never seen anybody kicked for not having HLs and not for low DPS in years (since leveling dungeons got so much easier).
You are more likely to get kicked for the opposite reason. Recently did a dungeon where a mage ninja pulled everything then moaned when he didnt get healed (after being told not to ninja pull). He then proceeded to tell everybody he was doing most DPS and we should be thankful to have him!
Obviously he got kicked…he then whispered me with ‘pathetic!’ to which I responded that I wasnt the one crying like a baby coz I got told off!
Then he put me on ignore. /sarcasticsadface
In other words most of the time if you arent doing high end/mythic dungeons most people will take less DPS over a**holes any day of the week!
