I actually got to experience Doom in Torghast. As a ret paladin.
You combine the power of starting the floor with avenging wrath active for X seconds, the legendary armor piece that extends the avenging wrath when you cast your hammer, the power that gives your hammer charges, the power that heals you for a first attack on a new mob and the power that gives you random heals; then a new floor turns into a race where you rip and tear through enemies to see how long you can keep avenging wrath up.
I’ve never been much of a mount collector (I only really go after the ones I know I’ll immediately be using, essentially) but I did a bit of grinding the last few days and I finally got the 100 mount achievement and the Dragonhawk mount - not exactly a particularly big accomplishment for most, I’m certain, but I’m quite happy with it!
My pet delight is the Civilization VI opening theme, “Sogno di Volare” (The Dream of Flight).
I’ve had it set to play on flight paths in WoW since Legion, and still haven’t heard enough of it. Also I just learned that in 2020, the composer, Christopher Tin, expanded that single into a whole album. I haven’t listened to it yet, but I’m definitely going to!
Finally have Qa’pla, Eredun War Order and managed to finish a soul ash mission too… crafted my Eredun legendary… and have a tons of fun with a basically constant kill comand (kill, barbed, kill, barbed, kill…bestial wrath that gives two barbed, kill barbed kill barbed, killl… )
Sick’em boys!!! Go for the balls throath!
(just to have fun, Fetch, loot for me… )
Replaying KOTOR after sixteen years since I first played it. Apart from some lines of really corny dialogue (mostly things like parts of the Bastila romance that come off as borderline harassment), it has aged surprisingly well. There are lessons modern games could learn from its narrative structure.
Been DMing RP events again for the past two days, for like the 1st time in a years time. Went really well. Felt good. I absolutely adore travel RP with random encounters, the constant fighting RP tends to get boring at times and I’m glad it was appreciated. I also feel it is way more immersive.
Another musical one. I have the background music for the Broken Isles set to my entire instrumental music collection, and it just so happened that during a particularly emotional RP moment, Jaina’s theme began randomly playing. Hit me right in the feels.
I am acquiring Blanchy (final step tomorrow) and I have been delighted at the community making groups to help others shorted their waiting times. Yesterday I was lucky enough to encounter Blanchy myself and by making a group I was able to help out 7-8 others hunting for her.
I don’t know what it is about male undead but something about them seems to attract the most memorable character pairs (not in a romantic sense obviously, but as a team).
Cyndric and Vinith in the Argent Crusade, Octavus and Eberhardt in the Ebon Blade immediately jump to mind.
I somehow end up RPing with “forum personalities” rather often. I don’t even do it on purpose it just happens. Like I was just recruited to an event held by Kaitlynn (That’s the undead one. Not the paladin) like a few days ago out of the blue.
