Pet Delights, positivity thread #2

Damn and just like that I’m back in the world. I thought I was free …

You should probably give a watch to DBZimran. This Youtuber’s deep analysis and look into the story of bleach does iron out a lot of the perceived failings of the Manga. Watch them when you have excessive free time because these are like on average 30-60 mins for individual characters and 1H+ for the franchise as a whole. Trust me, it’s worthwhile.

Frostpunk 2 was just announced. The first game was solid but was let down by its lack of mod support, which means the game could have lasted much longer than it did.

Here’s hoping the sequel has it!

I finally got around to try out another RP based private server.
Needles to say, I love it. I can finally be a proper dark ranger, and messing around with all the customizations and cosmetics is super fun.

The Omega EU RP community in FFXIV has finally got a hub for walk-in open world RP: Vesper Bay. It’s been fairly active tonight, on the day of the announcement, we’ll see how it goes :+1:

I’ve reached three milestones in one: hit level 50 on two jobs, finished the ARR 2.0 storyline, and bought an apartment. Haven’t furbished it yet, though.

Well, you can now dye your chocobo!

I’m about to start practicing on fake skin (tattooing!) soon and I’m super excited. I asked my mentor what kind of machine I should buy, considering I’ve never held a tattoo machine before, and he told me I didn’t have to since he already had one ready for me.
It’s the little things man.

Good luck!
So I guess the ash ink and bone needles are things of the past…
But machines are safer^^

I just got home from a week away where I visited a couple of friends from Warcraft who I’ve known for years and utterly adore <3 We got on so well IRL and it was all fantastic.

Maid Dragon Season 2 having that stellar art. It’s hard to believe that a “Feel good” Anime has such a good studio behind them who isn’t going cheap on the moments of spectacle… It made the season 2 of OPM look like garbage in comparison.

And I do!

Iceland has been an amazing place. The landscape is beyond stunning. Nature there speaks a language that can’t be seen or heard anywhere else.

But also. TEN DEGREES in AUGUST?! How can you live like that!

Give them a break, they just had a heatwave up there :joy:
But dry air helps a lot, when I went to my afi’s 80th in 2009 it was 15-18c in July felt like 25ish because of the dry air, was nice compared to the very wet humid air of my home.

Comes from being a fairly unique place geographically, equal parts hotspot and generic continental plates tearing apart creates a unique volcanic ecosystem. Which in turn makes the soil super good for agriculture and the climate made sure the wildlife is relatively sturdy.

Dunno what sights you went and saw, I’d personally have loved to have been there to see Fagradalsfjall as my mum very much tells me the videos and images don’t do any justice to the volcanic eruption and it’s vivid colours

The one that is erupting? Oh yeah I have a few stories about it too! Will reply later on the evening though!

Yup, the one erupting near Reykjavík is Fagradalsfjall

Oooh, yeah! We went there the last day. The lava wasn’t a lot at that time but it was still absolutely amazing. I’ve never seen anything like that.

We were so hyped we decided to go there by night too with a couple of torches and would likely still be there if it wasn’t for a wise local dude looking at us with eyes that screamed “amateurs, tsk” and told us that if we were going to travel around the volcano by night we’d get lost. We deliberated he was correct and we humbly decided to leave.

Let me think. Hmm! We’ve also been… uh, iceland names are so hard!

We’ve been chasing the northern lights for two nights (sleeepless nights in which I, obviously, had to drive :sweat:) and eventually saw them - it was a remarkable spectacle! Amazing nights.

Then huh, did an unsuccessful whale watching day in Husavik (?)… we did a lot of things! My fave has been the glacier of Jokulsarlon, I had never seen anything like that in my entire life (and the SEALS!)

So you get it, 10/10 for the vacation. My only regret was being unable to meet and interact with the locals. My wallet suffered a little too (30€ for a Pizza?! Good Lord!) but I’d do it again anytime.
