If the snippet is any clue, the upcoming Batman score for the movie reminds me quite a bit of the old Animated Series vibe. That’s some good nostalgia right there.

Damn you took me right back by posting this. Had completely forgotten it existed but now I remember it like it was only yesterday.
Someone in General talked about how there used to be a Screenshot of the Day section on the old website, kicking my memories into overdrive. There was fanart and a lot of other cool stuff as well!
Oh damn there was. I remember trying to submit for a screenshot of the day but I was running on an absolute potato and so my screenshots looked absolutely trash.
If I could still access my photobucket account I’d dig them up.
So I managed to find and login to my old photobucket account, and good lord these pictures go way back and bring up a lot of memories. This is my first WoW screenshot that still exists taken on Moonglade.

This was my first ever character, Zanathon, a Night Elf rogue. The other person featured was my closest friend in the game, we spent a ton of time together and they were responsible for really helping me get into the game when I was separated from my normal friends who were over on the US servers. We lost touch before Burning Crusade, which was really sad.
I lost this account to hacking while I was still only in the mid 40’s, and when I came back I made a brand new Night Elf called Aelruil who was until Legion my sort of main RP character.

Here he is in a Molten Core raid he had absolutely no business being in because I was a trash player.
Shortly before Burning Crusade dropped, I moved over to the US servers (Scarlet Crusade) to join my friends and started over as a gnome mage called Norz Fizzlewidget. I also got a huge computer upgrade. Here she is having just achieved level 70 and earning her flying mount, a big deal at the time.

Here she is again having just earned a netherdrake which was also a really big deal.

I then rerolled back to warrior to main tank for a raiding guild, again a gnome called Lorina Fizzlewidget (sister of my mage), this is the only picture in the archive of her and where my nostalgia journey ends.

Eventually I would return to the EU servers and start over here on Argent Dawn in Cataclysm.
Thank you for joining me on this brief and wholesome trip through my past in this game. It’s an incredible reminder for me of just how much I have loved this game and dedicated a huge chunk of my life to it.
I hope I never forget it.
I bring not one, but two FFXIV-related pet delights!
One: many of my WoW ex-guildmates, including the guild leader, have moved to FFXIV and re-founded the guild there. They’re also brainstorming RP character concepts, and one of them joined me together for the first time in RP!
Two: I’m cooperating with the Chaos EU RP community to create an Argent Archives counterpart for it, which has been creatively named Chaos Archives.
https://chaosarchives.org/
It’s heavily in development, and so we haven’t advertised it among the playerbase yet. Currently, user signups and character profiles are done, as is loading news and events from the RP newspaper The Daily Moogle. More functionality will be added over the coming weeks, adding stories, noticeboards, image uploading, and more.
(I started from scratch instead of reusing the AA codebase like AA’s cousins Laurelin Archives and Hydraxian Archives — this allows the site to be more lightweight, use more modern technologies, and be mobile-friendly from the start.)
now this is podracing
Seeing Shatner enjoy space errrr I mean the Kármán line is quite something.

The manderville questline in ff14.
I swear there is a secret square enix agent in the dust devils that keeps whispering the kait’s ideas into yoshi p.'s ear.
Got a 4K monitor. Text is really sharp now, much easier on my eyes than before. Color display is really good too, easily worth the money.
Dune Part 2 has been confirmed and I am
feeling blessed to know Dune Part 2 is happening
gods what an excellent movie can’t wait to rewatch it on HBO Max now that HBO Nordic converted into HBO Max in Finland literally today
be the Maker and His Water…
As a nerd who read the OG books I’m happy
Sand worms go brrrr
the movie got my friends to all (well, many…) want to borrow my copy of the book
really just hoping that we’ll get Messiah after that as well, I think it’ll get too wacky to do well as a movie from Children onward unfortunately
You can tell Michael Kirkbride took some inspiration for C0DA
Depending on how long Part 2 takes to come out, I feel like I might wait for it before going back to reading the books.
The movie was my first foray into Dune (besides the litany of fear that I’ve heard so many times referenced online) and it really sold the setting for me. But I fear that if I read the book now, it’ll spoil Part 2 and I kind of liked going into the unknown if that makes sense?
So watch the movies, then read the books
and then he turned himself into half a cliffracer…
I’d just get going with it, I felt like having read them only enhanced my enjoyment of the movie!
Damn, y’all talking of Dune makes me wish a remaster of Emperor:Battle for Dune would be made. I was young when I played it, and Im still sad I never finished it.
What i loved about it is that during your campaign as either Atreides, Harkonnen, or Ordos, Dune was divided into three areas to conquer, and you could decide who you wished to attack first, and the A.I. would try to take your territory back, making no campaign ever the same.
