Pet Peeve #INFINITY - Thanos gonna cry

I feel the same pain when seeing Kul’Tiras D:

Current peeve is people who drive 15 mph below the speed limit. They’re just as, if not more dangerous than people who speed.

If you’re not comfortable or confident enough to drive at the posted speed then you shouldn’t be behind the wheel of a car… Also, soloing Galakras in SoO hecking sucks… The NPC’s keep dying and resetting the fight…

I’d add ‘people who don’t indicate and then act like you’re the idiot for not knowing what they were doing’ to that.

It’d be amazing if, say during the driving test, or even as a child just being around cars, you were introduced to a thing that might indicate what you intended to do. We could even call it… an indicator.

Novel idea, I know.
Outside of London the very act of using one seems to be blasphemy.

My pet peeve is that people don’t use the in-game mail box to get in contact with other people when they are offline.

They are like voice-mail, no one uses them. :frowning:

I’ll be peeved if they don’t retroactively give us Honourbound/7th Legion rep from quests we’ve already done next patch.

You know, there has to be a rule against people standing on one spot, sniping off people without any effort on their part.

What’s even more annoying when it’s a deathmatch. I was trying to go after some blowhard in Destiny 2’s Crucible Match who was camping one area, one spot where people could EASILY go to and root him out. But no, they were too busy Hand Cannoning each other in completely different spots, all the while that guy was uncontested.

Really annoying to see. Oh, and the rotten lemon on top of it is the same person then showboating about how awesome of a player he is (When really he ain’t).

Also, I forgot to cancel out of a reply that I was going to make to Cilestine, so I ended up making a reply to her even when it’s about something else, so uhh… Crap.

Pet peeve of mine is when people show up to work ill to show “good work ethics” and infect others around then who then have to work while ill in order to not look like slackers. Effing stay at home!

I hate it that we don’t have scabbards for swords in WoW.
Also, that all twohanders are placed on the back, try drawing a sword from your back; it’s… not that easy…

Some greens are fine, but I am not a fan of them in general, also, screw mushrooms, they’re fungus, you know, mold…

This, this drives me crazy! It ends up in a never ending cycle of everyone getting ill one after the other just because one clever little toad thought to themselves ‘It’s just a cold, I’ll be fine’.
No thought to anyone else, no concern shown to how a simple cold may effect someone else.

If you’re sick, stay away! Not everyone can bounce back from a simple virus like you can!

The sad thing is, the ability to just stay off work like that has become kind of a luxury. Little or no sick pay and aggressive absence management in most lower end jobs has meant that sometimes, the selfish choice is the only choice.

I’m lucky my place are a lot more reasonable about these things. So many people aren’t in that position though.

The place I work?

Three absences is a write up, first lasts six months, second a year, third two years.

Nine cases of ‘staying off because you’ve got a cold’ and you’re sacked.

Would love a job where they let you stay home because you were ill, but instead it’s a constant revolving Russian roulette of illness.

It’s ridiculous really, you’d think a healthy workforce would be a priority.
Still, there is always the risk of people taking a less draconian company for a ride with staying home far too often.

A wow related peeve though, I just cannot find the enthusiasm I once had for the game. There is more than enough to do, but I just don’t get excited about it anymore.

Hating pineapple on pizza is a meme and both its fervent haters and passionate defenders are silly people. The real debate is banana and eggs on pizza.

Peeveroni roll with cheese:

I don’t have the money to pay for character art, I don’t know people that’d do it for free out of friendship or being independently wealthy and despite having gone to school for it, I cannot draw well enough to do it by myself due to vicious self criticism. Add to this a lack of a tablet or other way to make a graphite or ink drawing into something beautifully digital as is the norm on the internets and my motivation crumbles.

Furthermore, roleplaying is a chore because as usual, people live in their hard shells patting each other on the back with absolutely no outside perspective to open up or consider that communication and storycraft is an exchange.

On top of that, the people who believe roleplay is just the exchange and not a social and creative exercise. You know the type; if you ever get them talking it’s exclusively about their own backstory and exposition and once done, silence reigns as the expectation is that you’ll do the same rather than there being spontaneous followup and questions raised. It wasn’t a conversation, it was an info dump.

I’ll grant that some such people may just be excited to share their new character with the world, which is okay, but then the interaction just bluntly ends.

Additional peeve: Honour. You hear it a lot these days. This or that character fights for it, another spits on it, those two guys over there are brawling to settle who has the biggest honour etc etc. With paladins talking about it all Uther-esque it can be reasonable as the Virtues boil down to not being a complete bucket but once it’s not based in rules and laws it breaks down to a subjective salsa sauce of tavern brawls, screeching and mak’goras.

Bonus round! Destiny 2 is trash. Grotesquely generic character and weapon design, worldbuilding given no more than 10 minutes of thought, naming conventions so unimaginative that it hurts (another failure of worldbuilding) and no ingame context and compendium to at least summarise the story, your enemy and so on. There was a golden age, until there wasn’t. These guys were immortal, until they weren’t. A lot is presented “just so” and you’re expected to go along with it. What’s Solar, Arc and The Void that fuels your guns? Just don’t think about it and enjoy the pretty lights! Well I for one DO think all the time and it adds up to a frustrating pinnacle of lazy lore and horrible design that treats the player like a complete idiot with less cognitive agency than a child with a single digit age. Aside from that, it could be entertaining if people would just be inclined to team up more.

Lastly, the sheer amound of tedious busywork necessary to level and establish a new WoW character. First you level a bit, then you invest gold into banks, bags, riding and flying, then you do the necessary questlines to unlock each new expansion and its subzones for raid access (pandaria a particularly odious offender these days) and then comes Legion where the whole thing peaks with class halls and substories and broken shore and argus and theeeen you move on to the current content and the azerite/campaign resource grind. All to get anything done.

This is particularly bothersome as I maintain class duplicates on different factions. Then come the allied races, demanding that whole journey again just for an armour set that I do of course absolutely need!

Legion allowed you to boost right past some of all this unlocking but BfA removed it for some ungodly reason. I learned this too late. And then I can’t even delete old scraps from the undelete list, filling the bin with sad relics I’d never undelete.

That I keep getting dragged into games that I want to dislike but enjoy far more than expected.

Decide to try Paladins on the Switch on a whim, had fun. Try it on PC. Yet more fun. And I’m actually enjoying it more than OW these days.

My time is already divided between Destiny 2 and WoW. :frowning:

Trilliax not dropping the shoes for my paladin-tier-set. I’m only missing them to have the full set (normal mode). And I already did Calamir as well when he was up.

The disappointment that tightens my chest when I look at the trash Mass effect Andromeda is compared to the masterpiece Mass Effect 1-2-3 are. I know the ending of ME3 got a lot of criticisms but overall in my case those games were so great, so impactful that I’ll recommend it to people even 15 years later.

To see how Bioware and EA treated this magnificent franchise with ME Andromeda baffled me… Unless someone buys the IP from them I don’t see another ME returning in the future for at least 10 years… Maybe more considering where the gaming industry is headed toward.

A new Mass Effect has been confirmed by Casey Hudson of Bioware a couple of months ago, along with the next release of Dragon Age, with Casey Hudson describing Mass Effect as his “baby”

However, its unlikely it’ll be released for the PS4 since its at its last stages, but rather PS5, so ten years likely wont be the case, infact… it’ll be much sooner.

As for the Franchise; The Reaper War and the entire build up to it was astonishing to me and every time I hear that mechanical Reaper roar, I just wanna see them being torn apart the conventional way, gods I love to hate the Reapers

Andromeda itself and the entire production of it was terrible for the studio that made it, EA pushing for its release while their team was stripped apart for other projects diden’t help matters, nor the fact that the studio itself diden’t have any expierence with such a big scale, sure… the studio worked on Mass Effect 3, but that was solely for the multiplayer of Mass Effect 3, which shined brightly in Andromeda’s Multiplayer and its combat gameplay, that was top notch.

So–

i can get reins of the astral cloud serpent (which is good, i needed this mount!), but i can’t get silentflame sandals.

That in an expansion of war, chaos and destruction, not one hero of the Horde has decided to gather 5 young adults of impeccable skill to mentor them for the heart of battle. In fact, by gifting them the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn, the pink Armored Skyscreamer, the red Savage Raptor, the Black War Mammoth and the Sunstone Panther, they could in fact become the very heroes of legend that the Horde needs to repel the evil of Archmage Rita Repulsive, villainous leader of the Alliance.

The fact that NO ONE has thought of an actual RP scenario with those (even as a joke) is actually frustrating to me.
