It’s honestly extremely weird considering that only one month ago we got a complete cinematic at Blizzcon introducing the new character. Also the comics and stories the big build-up and then they drop it a month later. (Even though I still think that it’s kinda funny because the “new” characters of the Hots-universe are basically only existing ones cosplaying. Case in point: Medivh as the Raven Lord.)
To be honest, I’m not surprised about HotS. It came way too late at the time when both LoL and Dota 2 have already been established as MOBA giants. It’s a shame but not entire unexpected if it’s true.
Runeseer Faljar, who sent us to Helheim and also had something to do with one of the Mage Tower challenges, is still alive
The news about HotS leaves me worried about Blizzard’s future. If future projects don’t turn out well, or well enough, they might get EA’d by Activision. And no game developer is safe from getting EA’d as apparently even Bioware will be on the chopping block if Anthem doesn’t deliver.
Other peeve: the complete 180 seen by some Horde players concerning warmode.
“Alliance are cowards! Turn on warmode!”
8.1 drops
“That is too much Alliance! Wtf Blizz, you ruined warmode!”
I guess the foot’s on the other hand now.
Non-game related peeve: food being sold in amounts that isn’t a multiple of its portion size. E.g. the yoghurt I eat has a portion size of 150g but it is sold in tubs of 1kg.
No, I am also not really surprised because it was basically clear from the beginning that the MOBA-market was already established and HotS would have a hard time there but still the timing is weird.
“Enough! I grow tired of these games!” Stuns you and runs away (Warning loud)
It’s so fu***** annoying. Legion was terrible in that regard but BfA isn’t much better…especially in Nazmir and during the Alliance War Campaign.
Life peeve:
On tablets. Body is adjusting… I seem to be getting every bloody lesser side effect under the sun. I think I’m melting.
Fortunately I don’t play with Warmode on, so it doesn’t make me want to go “Gabati Goo, how dare Blizzard”.
Though I will admit, what is more amusing to me, is the fact that Blizzard is now offering bribes to Alliance players in order to turn on Warmode.
And when I say bribe, I mean a literal bribe. Considering that Warmode really has no incentive to be used, outside of the desire for World PvP and the additional “Talents” (More like Glyphs, am I right?). The 30% experience boost is pretty much a bribe, Blizzard saying “Please use Warmode! We will give you succubi and experience if you do!”
I can’t help but feel cynical about it. Huh.
Even if the MOBA market is fairly established, I do think that competition isn’t all that bad. Actually, Heroes of the Storm had some aspects that really could help make it stand out as a more appetizing option compared to the bigger competitors (At least more appetizing to me). No real laning phases, constant PvP action, going back doesn’t give you massive downtime, and the most important part: Iconic Blizzard characters.
Unfortunately, the game has its fair share of problems, most of which involve the Matchmaking, or the punishment system which doesn’t really seem to do much. All it does is silence people who act like complete tools, as opposed to give proper suspensions.
Here’s my peeve: When I was leveling my Warrior, I probably had the best time in the 110-120 bracket. I was doing PvP and felt mighty there. I was doing Island Expeditions, I was also pretty decent there. Now I am level 120 and in the process of gearing up: Suddenly I am as weak as a kitten.
… Why?
They’re not completely dropping HotS from my understanding. There’s still going to be updates, just not as frequent. Which I don’t mind that much. I don’t play the game as often as I used to, more casual nowadays.
People used to say only WoW will kill WoW. It seems in time, Activision shall skill WoW. Cause people will be too fed up with their idiocy to stay.
Just the thing is, “Not dropping complete support” usually stands for “We’re just gonna put the game on life support and trim its nails every now and then” in Publisher Lingo. Now it’s only a matter of time before they pull the plug completely.
I remember when Epic said that the focus on Fortnite wasn’t gonna affect Paragon. And look where we are now…
Paragon was developed by Epic?
Wow.
I never did play Paragon. In fact I didn’t even hear much about it, only when it was getting shut down did I hear something about it.
Epic Games related peeve: They’re offering Subnautica for free on their new store platform. I am actually really anxious about playing it, despite liking the premise behind it. I am terrified of “Deep Sea Adventures”, which is why I always avoid going to Vashj’ir. But I am gonna give it a try anyway. Sounds like fun.
WoW related peeve: Nathanos has new dialogue, and it really sounds… Stupid. Both because it is just stupid dialogue, and because it sounds like it’s one patch cycle too late.
“The Alliance won’t wait for us to gain the Zandalari fleet before they do…” or “We NEED the Zandalari fleet on our side!”
Yo, Nathanos. Dude. Baby. You had enough time to tell me that in 8.0, when we were fresh on Zandalar. What you’re telling me makes no sense in the context of how we’re already best friends with Zandalar at this point.
This channel I followed made content about it, frequently streaming it. Never really watched them nor did the game end up interesting me. Kinda like Smite, that game. I’m not surprised it didn’t end up taking flight, though.
I’m terrified of the deep seas. But since it’s free? I’ll take it.
Is it me or is the server connection unstable…
Stuck in combat and can’t log out… not even an error message…
It is really fun, I enjoyed the few hours I put into it.
I haven’t played it but followed some extensive let’s plays. It looks like a great fun game, tingles the deep sea scariness nerves without actually being anywhere near a real horror title.
How bloody dare you correcting yourself when being corrected? You’re suppose to fight back and make OOC insults of past “deeds” of the man that is obviously insulting your intelligence and wishes your mother to die!
Also don’t you just love it when people has a stick shoved so far up their bum that they refuse to think for even a second that they might be overreacting?
Must be very freaking hard to simply say “Sadly I simply disagree with you, have a nice day.” and instead simply HAS to continue an argument that will literally not go anywhere ever and simply fuel a useless fire.
They’ve stopped developing the new UT to focus on Fortnite. Arena shooters confirmed dead genre. I hope Diabotical by the GD Studio actually gets finished. Mad respect for Yames.
The fact that pneumonia is a silver bullet to most of my RP plans at the moment.
