Pet Peeve #INFINITY - Thanos gonna cry

6.2 had those too… And nobody really remembers Tanaan Jungle fondly.

Correction. 6.2 had no Allied race and I doubt 8.2 will either for now.

Finally the formula is pretty much the same roughly across all expansion but it’s how they are implemented abd executed by the Dev team that makes them memorable.

Why do you think even after all those years people still say 5.2 was one of the best patch wow ever had.

Only thing that really interested me so far in .2 is the new island, updated worgen and tauren heritage armour.

Night warrior rpers just wandering around SW or chilling on the streets are peeving me.
Worse than those are the “not Night Warrior IC”, normally that sort of thing doesn’t bother me, but with this, it does.

At least with “Not a DK/DH IC” folk, they are able to get around their whole visual deal to some extent. DK’s are Frost Mages that are Battlemages (If playing a Frost DK. Hard to explain Blood and Unholy). Demon Hunters call themselves blind but have keen hearing, and don’t walk around with demon skin and glowing fel tattoos.

The whole Night Warrior deal feels very… Hard to gwt around, considering how those black eyes can’t be explained as some kind of birth defect or whatever.

Peeve: I am still not a Shadowy Goblin.

I could see the use of the NW skin plus a helmet with glowing eyes, the NE eye glow is not interfering then.
But… that’s about it

Well they nelf female in question was described as having silver eyes, and lightly violet skin… So why use night warrior? That’s a standard option.

The current “Battle for Azeroth” storyline is actually killing my motivation to play the game. This has not happened before not even during Warlords of Draenor even though that expansion was rather stupid (time-travelling-orcs and all that). But at least you could simply ignore the story for the most part: You had your garrison, you had Ashran, you had your twinks. The storyline just existed and you could ignore it during RP and regular gameplay.

Bfa on the other hand forces the plot down your throat. Every world quest, every incursion, the campaign, the warfronts, the island expeditions, hell the cinematics. How the story is presented is actually pretty good with the cinematics and stuff like that. At the same time however as a roleplayer I simply cannot disregard the lore and story unlike for example pure PvE or PvP players. Everything boils down to the faction war…and it’s boring. It’s tedious. It’s annoying.

It’s especially terrible on my Horde characters though, because as soon as I hit 120 I know that I will be forced to do stuff my characters would NEVER do IC. My blood knight who still holds up “knightly ideals” (honor, justice, protecting the weak and innocent) would never follow or serve someone like Sylvanas or Liadrin. Consequentially she has basically deserted IC.

I really hope that 8.2 brings us N’zoth, faceless and Aszhara and the faction war takes a backseat. Otherwise I will probably not buy another month.

I peeve at the night warrior narrative presenting a blood drunk vengeance obsessed army of divinely touched warriors while leaving them with the same old repulsive cheerleader animations and the idle bounce. Dark Gods, save me from the bounce. I detest it so.

i just did the Darkshore story line on one of my horde priests, god she’d refuse to do it IC.

I’m not too sure about more AR in 8.2. We supposedly will get the Zandalari/Kul Tiras humans in 8.1.5. so getting vulpera/sethrak/mechagnomes or whatever right after that sounds a bit too quick.

I’m curious if 8.2 will convince me to come back to this game.

Also the classes were hit with only the first wave of pruning at that point so they weren’t butchered as much as they are currently.

Furthermore half a peeve: Blizzard recently announced they would disable the ability for 110s and up to stop XP gain because some people were using 110 twinks to powerlevel others to 120. They later posted they would refrain from doing this after quite the backlash in the announcement topic.

The peeve is that they wanted to do this in the first place but it’s half a peeve because how they went about it is a step in the right direction: communication with us. Yes, the change they proposed wasn’t any good but they made a blue post in the WoW forum to announce their fix in advance and explained their reason for doing it. And then they listened to the feedback and responded to it.

This is good. This is what we want. More of that! I hope the backlash from that announcement won’t discourage them from doing it more.

Warfront is so boring.

But got to do it if i want them sweet forsaken sets. Currently grinding the cloth one on my priest.

Getting up early before work to check the emissary and it’s the detestable Tortollan Seekers; who, amongst their litany of other crimes, are prepared to offer me only a measly 200 war resources for entertaining their sub-literate drivel.

You could say that at least Darkshore has a bit more going for it than Arathi Highlands. At least the start and then the followup to the Commander is a bit more different and arguably more enjoyable than Highlands.

Also I liked that you took a bat to an island in order to do battle with Maiev.

My girlfriend is capable of doing some very… Noob things. Last night we didn’t do the new Darkshore Warfront because she wasn’t able to take the Warfront Quest for the 380 gear. I decided to hop on to her laptop and see what is exactly the matter, and I see that she didn’t turn in the quest where she has to talk to Nathanos. And now I don’t see any way to get back to the Warfront phase so I can indeed talk to him.

Well, no awesome gear for her then.

Peeve: Night warrior customization available for night elf DKs.

Crossrealm, honestly, it’s such a terrible feature, whoever came up with it… well, they don’t deserve to be happy. It’s one of the worst things that happened to this game.

While true, its still kind of boring.

But anyway, back to the grindstone.

Pet peeve: the fact that the Pet Peeve thread numbers hasn’t gone from #38 to #40 as it should have.
