Pet Peeve #INFINITY - Thanos gonna cry

Honestly quite a lot of certain players do this as well, but hey I guess playing an anime character is the new hip and “in” thing to do right?

Shame we can’t just go ENOUGH and delete all Forsaken and Night Elves from the game.

Whether you like it or not, the evidence is before us. She casually one shotted an entire Forsaken death camp and a powerful valkyr in a split of a second. What explanation do you give for Nathanos surviving against her AND Malfurion aside from plot armor?

So when a character you like does something strong → it’s evidence for their strength

When they fail → it’s plot armour

Whether you like it or not, the evidence is before us. Nathanos casually held off both Malfurion and Tyrande, helped only by some Val’kyr. What explanation do you give for Tyrande surviving against such a powerful character AND two Val’kyr aside from plot armour?

Being the Night Warrior comes to mind.

They talked about adding high elf skintones and options to void elves though

Pet peeve: People making a problem of other people allowing to cut loose one day in the year and letting thing explode.

Chill, people, I get it, when you where young everyone and their grandmother could do that whenever, but old people ruined it all by adding rules, rules, rules and some more rules.

You’re doing exactly the same here.

That said, there could be dozens of reasons why Nathanos survived (except the fact I consider him Death Knight level of undead after that one ritual), and didn’t he have to flee for his life anyway?

That said, everyone survives aslong as plot demands it, and plot demanded Nathanos, Malfurion and Tyrande to survive.

As a Night Elf main, I was pretty satisfied by how the fight went down. Tyrande and Malfurion beat them, a Val’kyr gets BTFO’d and Nathanos ends up having to flee.

Nathanos is this expansion’s Khadgar in terms of witty quips and one-liners, even if he’s the edgy edition. So it’s no surprise that he tries to take his opponents off their game by mocking and goading them.

Besides, it would be dull if Nathanos just got his :poop: thoroughly shoved. There wouldn’t be any sense of danger or conflict for the Alliance; it would be, “Oh Tyrande is just going to personally scour Darkshore, the army can go home again.”

Hmm, true… I guess a powerful shadowy ritual could explain how a character is now more powerful than before / can compete with characters that may have once been their superiors…

Like in the case of Nathanos

Thanks for writing my arguments for me bros

Certainly agree with you there.

I think that was the point.

Sylvanas X Malfurion is my new #1 ship

Nathanos, pre-power-up flesh ritual and without the aid of the Val’kyr, required a small army to take him down. And they didn’t even manage to kill him.

Please consider reading. It’s healthy and good for your brain!

It’s dangerous to assume stuff mate. I don’t like neither Tyrande nor Malfurion, but I like some consistency in the story because I’m sure we can both agree that inconsistency in the story doesn’t make the story better.

Do I like how they made Tyrande the night warrior and one-shotting stuff? No, I don’t. Do I like how they made Malfurion OP? No I don’t. But they did. So they might as well be consistent about it.

This entire scenarion could have been done in two ways which both make the story make more sense:

  1. Tyrande kills Nathanos, Brunja sacrifices herself to revive hima nd the other val’kyr takes him to safety while he swears vengeance.

  2. Natahnos and us found a way to weaken Tyrande/Malfurion and thus get a solid shot at disposing them.

Both ways would have made the situation make more sense without making characters bounce in power every now and then to suit the narrative, which to me is a terrible way to tell the story.

She had Malfurion with her and she was bestowed an OP boost from her goddess.

I read it. I don’t see how this is in any way relevant to what I said. So he soloed a small ragtag group of adventurers in green gear on his own turf. So what? What else did he do to make us assume he’s super powerful? What did he do since the ritual to make him appear powerful? I remember Genn kicking his butt and almost killing him in Legion. And Genn is just an old wolf.

Except his lines are boring, dull and does nothing on the same level as Khadgar other than be a permanent nuisance when you’re doing WQs. He’s a Shadow the Hedghog OC character.

He’s actually possible more annoying than Sylvanas, but my scientific studies haven’t quite finished the empirical work behind it.

I never said whether he was more/less/equally funny, I just said that that’s what he is.

I know it’s the hip thing to bombard Blizzard with criticism for absolutely everything they do, but I find it more satisfying to enjoy the good that they bring to the table too.

yeah, I know.

But I do want her to become an actual void elf. I basically deleted the human rogue she was (was Rping said human as a high elf) and turned her into a void elf with the least purple skin i could find.

But now I think it would be nice for her to become the race she is, mainly because she’s my only void elf (OOC) now.

And seeing how i still Rp with people who knew her, trying to retcon all that is difficult.

So, an entire raid group of adventurers who killed an Old God, several huge and powerful dragons (including the direct child of the Aspect of Earth) and an Elemental Lord, to name a few in the same expansion as Nathanos, can’t kill him (again, pre-ritual and without two Val’kyr channelling their large power directly into him) and this is perfectly acceptable, but you are upset that one powerful priestess and one powerful druid cannot?

But then again you could argue that Tyrande also required an entire raid grp to down. So I’m not sure how this argument holds?
