Yeah, but it didn’t cost HIM Money, which was his point.
Blizzard made money though.

It’s still incentive for them to make this type of stuff instead of cool mounts from vendors for rep
That’s the problem here
Remastered made a few changes, fixed zero bugs and added in new ones. They also took the original off Steam so you can’t even buy it now. On PC at least with a few mods you can make it look identical.
It’s by far one of the worst remasters I’ve ever seen.
Yeah, it is and if I could play the original on my desktop (I can’t get it to work) I wouldn’t have even considered buying the remaster.
I miss playing DS1
How come it isn’t working? Going to assume you already got DSfix and such before I suggest that.
In about 11 days, Yakuza Kiwami will be available to play on Steam. I don’t know if I can wait that long.
I haven’t been this excited for a game launch, since waiting for Wrath of the Lich King, or Cataclysm, or even Skyrim launches.
Which is saying quite a bit.
I just want the remastered versions of 3, 4 and 5 on PS4 already so I can finally play the crescendo that is Yakuza 6
Catching up on the good old (new) pet peeves, as any good forum lurker should after a break, and (novel);
Gotta disagree, hardball style. In my fairly ok-long experience in political RP involved in just about any field featuring it prominently (that being blood elf and human circles) your statement portrays the literal reason as to why politics in RP fail.
There is nothing more boring than a back-and-forth ‘I’m going to get you next time’, where none of the parties makes any kind of progress. It is, in fact, this precise reason as to why people have (and I have seen, or in fact been party to) OOC manipulation. Because in the end of the day, it’s that simple. No one wants to take anyone but their own self-inflated jerkbutts seriously, and when you don’t take me seriously, you can double-dog bet that I’m going to shake my fist at the screen and not play ball with you.
Politics is about cooperation, and saying ‘lol you can’t threaten me IC and expect my character to react without the OOC knowledge that you don’t actually have the power to influence a vote into exiling me’ is precisely why certain [g u i l d s] of old ended up in a comical goose-chase of ‘You murdered her, and her kids, and the whole of Silvermoon knows this!!’ ‘yeah but lol bro can’t tell me what to do’.
That’s just the hard-hitting fact of the matter. Political RP dies because of ‘I’m not obliged to listen to you’ hypocrisies.
Also this
I appreciate people not having read, like, half the books Warcraft has featured, but the entire beginning of WoW was littered with nobility/medieval warfare and politics. Of Blood and Honor, The Last Guardian, Day of the Dragon, Cycle of Hatred, just to name some of my favourites.
Just because WoW has become a literal and actual meme that can’t take its own wacky ‘everything is possible’ story seriously nowadays does not mean that it was not rooted in classical fantasy setting ‘knights versus dragons’ with archvillains being Onyxia and Stormwind’s manipulated bureau, or the burden that came from uniting the orcish tribes and trying to establish a common grounds between all their varying traditions.
I know, surprising. Warcraft was once cool.
walking among the peasants in full-plate be like
Fun lore-fact: on several occasions, most notably as an example Tides of War, the Horde forces are described as wearing rag-tag mismatches of armour, more so a nod towards player characters who don’t transmog (a frightening many outside RP servers!), but still eluding towards the nature of ‘this is a rough world, I’ll put on anything that I can get’ the world.
Also, truth is, classes (such as warriors) were/and still are consistently portrayed as heroes. Due to the nature of an MMO world (aka ‘gameplay’) this line has gone much more blurry, but I like treating the playable classes as something of a rarity. Yeah, archers are common, but how did you conclude that it’s normal to shoot seventeen arrows at once at supersonic speed?
As such, the fact that 70% of human RP parties are made-up of actual paladins is rather un-immersive.
As I just discovered DEX/INT over in Dark Souls 2… Yes. Rapier is dumb strong as is, slap some INT scaling and use it as the catalyst itself and you’ve got yourself a broken build that I will absolutely love.
I’d like the remasters on PC myself. Hey, if Yakuza 0 and Kiwami prove to be worthwhile ventures for the PC market, then there ain’t a reason in Kamurocho (Or is it Komurocho? Been a while since I played 0) for the other games to not come on over.
I just wanna experience the wild story that is of angry-faced Japanese men decking each other with fists, feet and anything in between.
Yep, tried everything that was suggested, just one day it was working then the next it wasn’t.
EDIT: maybe I should try it again? Seeing how the wind changing is all it takes to decide if it wants to work or not. Since i haven’t tried it in months.
I know right?
I have power-stanced blue flame on one of my characters, straight sword that casts spells. Its amazing.

EDIT2: As mentioned previously, I’m happy with the covenant system in remastered, I can at least actually use Darkmoon Blade for a change.
Gwyndolin… I love you dearly, but I must kill you, every boss must die.
