Pet Peeve: The Undying

Gotta say Azshara’s an idiot, “see what i do best, removing my biggest strenght” “I will keep the water at bay and let you f* up my army, as long as i’m amused”

The northern edge of the zone (Zan’jir Terrace, Gate of the Queen and the Shirakess Repository) have the most Naga. The bit that people tend to compare to Aszuna is the ruins of Zin-Aszhari.

We’re on the outer edge of the Naga empire, because Aszhara is hardly going to drop her enemies’ fleets directly on top of her house. The most Extra™ thing to do is drop them at your gates.

Dotted around individually seemingly randomly, sure. It’s hardly a glimmering city.

The companion quests aren’t the bounty quests are they? Bounties are just like…20 azerite or 40g rewards plus 75 rep.

If you’re not SUPER rushed in getting flying then consider cutting them out of your daily rotation for the sake of your brain.

Onto the raid, while I hate Ashvane and Radiance of Azshara bosses, as the radiance is unoriginal and Ashvane is… well, that thing.
I love the appearance of Commander Sivara (first boss)

They wouldn’t be Blizzard villains if they didn’t have ExPosiStioN

It was the twenty-five hydras one, it killed me today. Most of the hydras are rares, too.

Lets be real, the only decent city we’ve had in the entire game so far is Suramar.

I think they’re not even that much, I recall 50 rep. Not really worth it unless you were on your way to it, in my opinion.

So in the end, it was the graphic card. She died in one shot and without warning; I guess she didn’t liked the combination of Nazjatar + flat at 40°c (general temperature of my city that night.)

France, by any chance, then?

This is the outer edge of Nazjatar proper. We’ve only seen breeding grounds for eels and Naga eggs as the closest thing to infrastructure.

Yeah I’d just cut that sorta thing out. I got v. annoyed with the coral ancients one yesterday (or the day before?). Snapdragons weren’t too bad but the rewards are just so “meh” for the effort involved.

Aye, the big problem is that the numbers required for killing are so inflated that you’ll never be “just on your way” unless you get lucky with the kill 3 rares one.

I thought initially the bounty quests might be weeklies so they’d be like kill 25 hydras and then you just do 3 a day on the way past to other stuff but…nope.

And those are right outside the palace? Seems dumb.

Yeah I’d be down with the “outer edges of the city” if it weren’t for Azshara’s palace being right there. I think we’re giving more credit than Blizzard deserve by guessing that was their intention.

No?

So far we’ve only seen the very outskirts, and we’re next to a gate. It doesn’t look like said gate will lead directly to her palace, having seen the area her palace is actually in.

I wouldn’t even give them credit if this was the case, sounds like a lazy cop-out explaination

Eh, it’s a character flaw of Azshara not caring enough about anything other than The Aesthetic™ rather than a writing flaw. She doesn’t care about her people except how they can be useful to her.

To be honest, I haven’t seen fish live in houses before. Even when I’ve had them in a tank with little castles in and stuff they never want to go in there. Maybe it’s the same with naga, they just want to float about and sleep in the open.

In the cinematic in WC3 when they’re first introduced, it looks like they were just taking a nap at the bottom of the ocean and then they woke up and had a little swim.

EDIT: Like do they sleep on beds and stuff? I need some Blizzard lore input on what naga do in their day to day.

They’re not fish, they’ve privileged and pampered elven nobility turned scalies.

Yeah well they’d be a lot more useful™ to her if they weren’t dead due to the lack of water.

Yup.

I agree there. I might try the Naga elites one, if I have nothing better to do, but the hydras is uurgh. I will probably not touch it.

Must’ve been hell having 45°c that day, I mean christ man…
