Pet Peeve: The Undying

That’s understandable. The only silver lining is even a full story skip and level boost combined is still far cheaper than a WoW boost. Or just buy the level boost and speed through the story for like £20. But it’s still not an ideal solution. (Even though I may have bought a bunch of them while they were 30% off cough)

Now that’s what I call a peeve. I thought that was a change exclusive to classic.

At least we already have our RP potion?

The having to type the exact thing, punctuation and all in FF14.

I am at war with my shift key since it only works when it sees fit.

I don’t think you’re the one to criticize harsh comments

I don’t think you’re the one to be having bones to pick.

You can copy paste text from the chat box if you’re on PC. Interact with the marker to get the text prompt to do the /say thing, highlight the text in the chat box minus the quotation marks, ctrl+c, press enter in the /say channel, ctrl+v.

You’ve been complaining on the forums of a video game you have loudly and repeatedly declared that you no longer wish to play for quite some time now.

Now’s a very odd time to start trying to police people.

I wondered if you could do that, was trying on various things (that wasn’t the right one obviously)

The fact that at this point the mobile version of WoW forums seems to have given up on the Pet Peeve thread and instead of showing that the current post is number 10530 out of 10530 it simply says “10530”.

WoW has them know and like you

GW2 has them love and adore you and constantly go on about how fantastic you are.

I honestly think this is pure game mechanics, and Kul Tiras and Zandalar are still, in-Lore, the size they are depicted in Chronicles.

Kul Tiras is the size(ish) of Gilneas, Zandalar not much larger.

GW2 makes you pay to play story content you missed so when I try to get back into it it’s just a constant string of “Who the hell are you people?” start to finish.

Yeah yeah I know it’s free if you log in while the story is curent but I’ve already missed two seasons and it only makes me less compelled to bother checking in if new stuff is out.

It’s like if WoW asked me to pay for Isle of Thunder or whatever if I wasn’t around for it.

No way… Seriously? I… I don’t know what to say about it now… Oh well.

except WoW is sub-based so this comparison doesn’t really make sense.

and don’t worry, ‘who the hell are you people’ is the only appropriate response because they’re never introduced. They’re just thrown in and suddenly they’re your loyal followers/besties.

I’m gonna have to say [citation needed] here because I added an enemy faction player during RP PvP the other day and had literally no problems

Are you sure they didn’t just decline?

What, can’t I go and try to socialize somehow anymore now that I’m not paying Blizz?

That’s a bug on pc too

GW2 also -permamently- removes some of the paywall story content after a while, yet writes the new story so you are expected to know what happened.

That is a point, but it does still offer an obstacle. A more apt comparison would be something like another buy to play MMO outright paywalling older content.

It’s just I feel inclined to play either game, pay the £10 sub if necessary, but while in WoW I’m then free to explore everything new and old, in GW2 I’m greeted by paywalls. It just puts me off altogether even if in WoW I’m paying a sub anyway, if that makes sense?

Afaik this was only Season 1, and the devs did say they deeply regretted it and for unspecified reasons can’t easily bring it back. /shrug Wouldn’t surprise me if they did it again though. A lot of the game feels like it’s preying on the “Don’t miss out!” part of our brains.

I am in Mechagon right now on my warrior. I right click a void elf’s avatar.
I can only “Move Frame” and “Report Player for”.

It’s a shame how Nazjatar turned out, I was expecting something more:
