People whining about products designed for mass-market appeal maybe not forcing a very common phobia (thalassophobia is the term I believe, but there are a lot of water-based phobias) make me SO MOIST. Oh yes baby, you consider that other people exist and you like it. Mmmm.

People think Blizzard stopped making water zones due to people having phobias, rather than Blizzard admiting to themselves that the game and engine sucks at underwater combat?

Arachnophobia is a very common phobia, did Blizzard stop adding spiders? Nope, and they arenāt gonna.
Thatās an important factor, too - thereās a reason thereās only one underwater boss that I know of in Palace and itās a pinata.
Thereās also a reason why there are very few spider bosses these days.
That one wing in Naxxramas is perfect for Arachnophobia peeps.
Peeve: Blizzard still hasnāt restored the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, even though all they need to do is restore its pre-5.4 state from version control or whatever. Itās not current content, so who cares?
Itās not like this small indie company has the resources of a corporate juggernaut like ArenaNet to actually restore destroyed zones restored in lore.

Iām aware of Naxxramasās Spider Wing (I had to tank Maexxna with my eyes focused very firmly on my action bar because I hadnāt yet coped with arachnophobia as I do now), but itās one wing of one dungeon copied almost wholesale from Vanilla and has not really been repeated apart from the odd spider or more humanoid-looking spider-creatures here and there.
If youāre making content you wish for a lot of people to consume, alienating a [edit: relatively large] group of people who will be made uncomfortable by the subject is a really poor plan unless you have a good reason to do it.
I doubt majority of players have these issues, and thus theyāre a minority, and Blizzard cant shape their games after them. Get help with your issues if itās so bad you cant even take a pixelated version of it.
Itās usually 3.5-6% of the population according to most surveys. Letās do an average of 5%.
If youāre designing a boss, letās say the Firelands spider, why make it in such a way that 5% of your playerbase canāt (or more usually donāt want to) engage with it, when you can easily make it in such a way that 100% of your playerbase can?
Choosing to exclude people without a good reason is both ignorant and weird.
(ps phobias by definition arenāt rational your brain doesnāt care whether the spider is made of keratin or pixels)

The more I think about BfAās end the more Iām certain itās gonna be a pretty awful oneā¦ WoD levels (Never forget āDraenor is free!ā Screamed by a genocidal puppet) bad of ending.
Worse thing even being that at the end of this there will be no clear winnerā¦ Like the Eastern Kingdom not so Alliance and Kalimdor not so Horde.
Another point I was thinking about beingā¦ How much costly this war is? Because I sure remember how much they made a big deal out of it that the Northrend campaign was costly in men and moneyā¦ Do we get a third return of the Defias brotherhood? Will the civilians of the Alliance just live their lives happily ever after, never blaming their Golden boy for putting them in economic debt? How 'bout that Azerite huh? Sure made a lot of technological wonders with it but I would assume that point should be dealt with no?

tbf i think itād be fun to have more creepy places/monsters, out with pandering to phobias, yes itāll make some people uncomfortable for a bit, but if it fits the contentā¦ I mean, I hate, and I mean hate snails/slugs, they give me the creeps, even pixel ones, but do you see me complain about the snails in ToT sewers? Surprisingly, no, despite complaining about numerous other things
