While modern language is something that I try to avoid in roleplay, I don’t really mind it too much in the source material. I mean, WoW’s got goblins that sound like they’re from New Jersey, for crying out loud. Then you’ve got the likes of Yang Ironclaw.

If I have to deal with a Pandaren talking like that, then I can deal with a bit of modern lingo here and there in Warcraft 3.
I read a book where the aliens found it hilarious that we humans call our planet “dirt”.

Saw an undead named annefrank. Dude. Not funny.

Did they say they are changing it because “female power yeah!” or isn’t it just because Sylvanas and Jaina are prominent characters in current expac, and they feel some need to give them focus to push that forward?
(I don’t like them changing things regardless, just don’t want to put the blame in a wrong place.)

Could be clarifying stuff to put it in line with the Arthas novel and Sylvanas getting her body back or something idk.
Also expecting them to update Akama and the draenei/lost ones.

It strikes me as the same sort of deal as the redesign of the map in the Stratholme mission to more closely fit the WoW topography.

Eeeeh, I’m starting to think this WC III relaunch will be done in a terrible and unappealing fashion. They are already demolishing a lot of the things that were iconic of that game - among other things, they’re adding that green fire thing for demons, as if we hadn’t had enough of it already.
Fire is red, okay?!
Plus we don’t need more pc than we already have. I fear they might upset the characters of Jaina/Sylvanas for the sake of female empowerment.

There is nothing wrong with this, but yes, changing dialogue or altering the story shouldn’t happen. Warcraft 3 is still an amazing game and has aged pretty well graphics aside.
Reforged is pretty explicitly a remaster. They’ve been pretty open about wanting to change elements to make it more consistent with how things are presented in WoW.
It’s not going to make my Warcraft 3 discs implode so I find it very hard to care about what is and isn’t changed in a game that I might play through the story of once before doing a bunch of really dumb multiplayer hijinks with the same 3-5 friends I used to play it with in school.

Heck, you can still download the files straight from blizz if it’s registered to your bnet account. That’ll still be there.

I’m mostly curious to see how the new world editor might work since I loved/love(still do) to tinker with the old one.
Never got into the SC 2 one though.

I do recall quite early that I think Elenthas(Sorry if it wasnt!) mentioned that one thing they will change is that they will split up the un-named Captain into Falric and Marwyn.

Don’t forget oversized shoulders.
Also yeah, we don’t need more felfire, did Blizzard forget demons can wield normal fire spells, too, or maybe it has another dark origin.
Abyssal aren’t green, either.

Infernals are green, but the Abyssals like you say are mostly either red or purple, with one blue that we saw in Black Temple.

They can be.
Hopefully it’ll lead to retellings of Warcraft 1 and 2’s story - it’d be really interesting to see the First and Second Wars in 3D.

They better not let me select more than 4 units at once.

I played a Warcraft 3 custom campaign like that and it was awful.

MVP plays: Select the maximum number of troops, make them follow one unit that you then take into the next max selection of troops

Trust NPCs deleveling is so weird but tbh I can’t see myself using them. Even if a DPS queue is long I’d rather do fates while waiting.
Tried opening the small sachet of sauce for my noodles. Failed.
Tried with my teeth.
Sauce all over the desk.
