I think they’re tying AVALANCHE to Wutai as propaganda to stir up negative sentiments against both?
But there was an AVALANCHE before the one Barrett made which did use Wutai as a base at one point, so potentially it’s expanding on some of that backstory too. Barrett seemed confused by the Wutai connection, so it’s possible he doesn’t know everything about old AVALANCHE and that could cause ~drama~
That’s the kind of stuff I love, hope that gets fleshed out well.
Also what’s the deal with the parachuting section in that trailer? I can’t imagine which part of the first section would have them parachuting somewhere off the top of my head.
One of the weird things I always think about whenever I play through the game again is why the Turks had such a hard time getting hold of Aerith. They knew exactly where she lived from when she was a kid.
Nope, that’s new. At a guess it’s before a reactor attack but no idea.
They didn’t seem to really go after her hard before (guessing Hojo had other stuff on his mind) and even when they do approach in the Church it’s kinda…relaxed? At least in the original. Reno tells his goons not to trample the flowers so they might’ve been trying to convince her to come with rather than just straight kidnapping.
Then Tseng steps in and kidnaps her anyway lol dunked.
But why don’t come down from that star, sit in the chamber of the heart and look after the Titan that got stabbed before she was actually born?.. Wait, is Azeroth going to be all deformed now?
They need to get off their butts, give the dragons power to reproduce again (they don’t need aspect powers) and then start murder killing N’zoth.
Maybe they need to recover from their torture at the hands of the Burning Legion as well as do battle with Sargeras, which could well take an eternity.
They might not be in the position to leave to do anything.
To be honest I prefered when the Titans were just indifferent deities that went around ordering worlds and leaving them behind once their work was complete instead of having a vested interest in Azeroth, because then suddenly they need to be involved in Azeroth on a permanent basis.
In Chronicles they got around this by adding that the Titans were killed by Sargeras which makes no sense in the grand scheme of the plot and is riddled with holes.
remember there was a bunch of speculation about where titan souls were and people were like “oh shizz Wrathion ate the thunder king’s heart and got Aman’thul’s titan soul!” and then actually they were all just imprisoned on argus and there was nothing interesting about it at all
“We’re too weak to help in the grand scheme, we rebless these dragons, in the hope they and our constructs can be of aid” and then they can return to obscurity on a star with Illidan.
Her daughter who does the heart quests with you?
The Black’s will be lead by Ebonhorn, Wrathion isn’t even directly related to Deathwing, he’s a liar!.. Maybe if they give the potion he is creating to Seblian, he can lead.
Alright cool. I didn’t do much of 8.2 after I got my heritage armour so didn’t see that.
So we got the dream team:
Kalec for the Blues
Alexstrasza and her exposed knockers for the Reds
Nozdormu stays on as the Bronze ready for his impending descent into madness
Ysera’s daughter for the Greens
? for the blacks
Well if the Dragon Isles crop up as people theorise, it wouldn’t be the worst segue into it.
Nor the best. I just think the dragons being powerless schmucks post Deathwing dying is ridiculous, especially given the no babies thing. I mean, why? Protodrakes can reproduce.
Problem with beings as powerful as the aspects and the titans is you need to make them elusive and aloof, especially if you are throwing world ending threats at the world constantly where it is in their interests to be involved and using their considerable power.
