so you’re telling me… you bother to have a basic grasp on the content you play…? yo, epic!
How does that relate to some slacker that makes 0 effort tho, it seems like you’re just doing a weird devil’s avocado routine

Some simply don’t remember, especially if they don’t do the dungeon repeatedly.
I’m giving people a chance, that’s what I’m doing. I’m tired of seeing all negative bullcrabs about everything.
imagine getting to 440 ilevel instead of staying at 420
There are enough quests, dungeons and raids with similar mechanics to the TD cannons, that people should have a basic grasp of how they work. Is there a green arrow on it when you mouse over? Get in it.
If you have the memory of a goldfish, sure.
Never was the point. Point is that the game actually supports a playstyle where you never have to get better, never improve, and you still get rewarded for doing mindless grind. I think that’s fundamentally wrong.
We did a dungeon the other day with the Gang & co and we had this DK in King’s rest who for some reason kept controlling undead and then releasing them after every fight, when the obvious choice is to simply take a berserker, put a bleed on the enemy mobs, and then when the control ends, so you dont have to stop at every pack to nuke down an add instead of just AOINg stuff down (depending on the affix).
We several times told him what to do & gave him instructions but he ignored them all the same. We also did a SoTS last evening where we had a DH player (a very common trope I’ve found) and a rogue, neither of which never used their own defensives like darkness or evasion to help out mitigate damage- Let alone CC mobs.
Like, what greatness is there in promoting mediocrity? What good is there rewarding people for not learning their entire (very simplified) class toolkits and dungeon mechanics?
how dare people not be as good as I am in a video game
Peeve: Can’t find anyone to do things with.
Hoping they’ll remaster KOTOR 1/2 one day, or maybe just ignore TOR’s continuity and give us a proper KOTOR 3. Literally the only good thing from the direction they took the story in with TOR is Vitiate.
Although the lead writer talking about how the Sith Lords you would have faced in KOTOR 3 making the Sith you knew in the first two games look like boy scouts is amazing.
C&D? WHY?! DISNEY!!
I seem to remember reading somewhere that in order to keep something copyrighted you have to be seen to be defending your copyright otherwise it can be revoked.
Could be wrong.
Either way though, as cool as a project like that could be its unlikely it would be released. These projects either get C&D’d or stay in development forever until they eventually get shelved
Opening a new essence slot on the heart of azeroth right? Except not having an essence to put there so it’s constantly saying YOU HAVE A NEW ESSENCE SLOT whenever i open my char window. Then I close it a n it pops up above the tool bar.
arfhjginodf
Wow. I only have seven essences so I thought I was slacking.
Because you know, I don’t really do group content.
I pass on the crown to you.
And even he has a stupid name. Sure, stupid names are kind of a Star Wars tradition, but it just doesn’t seem fitting for an evil overlord of his caliber.
To be fair the guy has a lot of names, and the one they eventually use for him sounds more like an overlord (Valkorion)
Serious peeve:
I am… starting to lose faith in AD?
Everywhere I go, I feel like I don’t fit in. I have been here for like eight years now, but in the guilds I am in I still look at the guild chats and the strange humour and behaviour from people is incomprehensible to me.
Am I becoming an old cranky lady, at 22?
I still love RP, but in some guilds for example it’s like I only like half the guild, and the rest range from lolrandom and annoying to downright crazy.
Twitch and pretty rotten internet humour just seeps into AD pretty intensely lately, also the polarisation within politics in general plays a role in some of the developments, I think. You’re definitely not the only one.
Discord seems more prone to this than guild chat. Some of the content common there feels repulsive at times.
I only got 3-4… So I guess that crown is mine.
I too find the group content in this expansion to be unattractive honestly.
That’s true, yes. Companies need to defend their copyright or otherwise it sets precedence and can be argued in court that they’re not interested in their claim anymore.
The problem, though, is that the Apeiron project for restoring KOTOR 1/2 was a mod, not a new product using their brand. There was no revenue to be gained from it other than Disney enjoying increased KOTOR sales.
It’s the reason why the Beyond Skyrim project and Skywind/Skyblivion projects are allowed to continue. They’re free mods (once they finish) and the remastering of those old games means increased sales for Bethesda. Last I heard you need to own Morrowind and Oblivion for Skywind/Skyblivion to work (once they finish the projects…) exactly for that legal reason to avoid being indirect piracy.
Shutting down the Apeiron project is entirely on Disney.
I too know those feels. And with Classic, the RP community has basically been split anyway so it’s even more difficult I guess. I suppose it may not be as prevalent in dwarf RP cause it’s much more niche, but I’ve seen strange behaviour and weirdness as well.
I’ve also seen plenty of hypocrisy whereas people can be all nice in-game, sucking up Blizzard’s TOS and everything being all nice and holier-than-thou, and then in discord channels or DMs, they are complete and utter weird bois to the point they just make me sick.
